confirmed for
Monday, Nov 21/05 @ 6pm. It will
take place at the Madison.
Its on Madison Ave., just North
of Bloor. Madison is a side street west
of
St. George and east of Spadina.
To get there by highway, take the DVP South and get off at
the Bloor viaduct
(Bayview/Bloor).
Turn right on Bloor, and follow it to St. George. Turn
right on St. George, then turn left on the next street (I
don't know what
its called). Turn
left again on Madison and follow it down to the pub.
You can either find street parking on Madison or park in
the parking lot
across from it for $5.
In order to get there by subway, you'll need to get off at
the St. George
subway stop. Exit to
Bloor, and walk west 'til you hit Madison.
Walk north
on it and the pub will be on your left hand side.

Jason,
Please submit te changes by 23rd. We are running out of
time. Changes
should be relatively significant. Most students have sent
me changes
which look good to me.
I avoid many multiple questions on the exams. They just
give opprtunity
for guessing. I think that the material you have used is
the right one.
Importnat is also to understand the concepts. Questions
will not be
direct "copy and paste" from the book or slides.
Questions are constructed
to help me understand what students have understood from
that material.

Correspondingly, the PLSY invites all PLSY members to
attend the Kaplan Law
Forum on Tuesday, February 7th beginning at 6pm. The forum will take place in
the High Park Ballroom at the Toronto Marriott
Bloor-Yorkville, located at 90
Bloor Street East.
This event will definitely be useful to our members
because attendees will be able to meet representatives from
various Canadian
Law Schools, and listen to a panel discussion on careers in
law.

We also have many other events planned that will be taking
place over the next
few months. One such
event, a PLSY Open House, is tentatively scheduled
for Wednesday 8th Feb 2006 between 12:00-4:00pm. The
purpose of this
engagement is to give members an opportunity to meet PLSY
executives and other
members so as to foster a sense of camaraderie and
fellowship within our
society. In recent
years we feel that the social connection between PLSY
members has been sorely lacking and thus we hope to redress
this problem
through this event.
We hope to see you there!

Next, the PLSY in association with the Criminology Society
@ York has
organized a "Criminal Justice Colloquium" that is
tentatively scheduled
for February 21st 2006 at 5:30pm. We have already received commitments from
Prof Livy Visano and Prof Paul Baxter to attend this event
and share
their opinions on topical issues in criminal justice such
as terrorism and
inequality in the criminal justice system. We hope that members
who are interested in criminal justice-even if you are not
necessarily
planning to go into criminal law-will attend this event as
it surely promises
to be provocative and enthralling.
