-Test must be written on test day

- Unexcused absence -"0" will be assigned

- Excused absence (first occurance)- The student must bring a note from a parent stating that they are aware that the student missed a test.(rational: some students have parents book appointments on a test day, without he parent being aware)  A students grade will be calculated from the next major exam.
(ex. if a student has an excused absence, with a note,  for missing the ch. 1 test then the questions
related to ch.1 from the midyear exam will be used to calculate the ch.1 mark)

- Excused absence (second and subsequent occurances) - a doctors note is required and a note from a parent stating that they know you have missed a second chapter test. (mark will be generated from next major exam)

**in the event that a student is suspended from class or from school another time may be arranged to do a chapter test.If another time is scheduled and the evaluation is missed then a mark of "0" will be assigned. Depending on the circumstances, and in consultation with the office; if another time is not arranged, then a mark of "0" will be assigned or mark will be generated from the next major exam.**
