If only we knew
then what we know now…ah, to go back. Now, fast forward 20 years.
Since the last reunion…we returned stateside after living in Germany for
3 years. My husband was in the Army for 21 years and is in the
process of retiring. No more moving (8 times), deployments (5) or
Iraq! Just like many of you…the days are spent lovin’ up on the kids,
school work, taking them to and from their friends and extracurricular
activities. They are the world to me and it’s hard to believe how fast
time goes by. I enjoyed staying at home with them those early
years and I treasured every day. Once my youngest was in school, I
ventured out and taught preschool for 4 years; eventually graduated up
to teaching a 1st grade class last year (mini contract). I am currently
looking for a full-time teaching position for this school year. I
haven’t become a renowned chef or prominent movie star yet. However,
what I have mastered in the 6 years since we’ve lived in this theme park
infested state of Florida…is which drinking fountains have the coldest
water and which bathrooms are the cleanest. Among many other helpful
tidbits depending on which theme park is your fancy. Every summer we
travel to Alex to play on the lakes with my family who still live in
town. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in August. |

A trip down memory
lane…let’s see, I might need to pull out the yearbook for this one?
All the road trips, cruisin’ Broadway and Hardee’s. Breakfast
before school with friends; school dances; walking the halls before 1st
bell; jumping off the Latoka bridge; Billy Idol convert;
TPing. And last but not least…our
senior party “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but
by the moments that take our breath away.” |
