Where to start?!  Went to college in Duluth for awhile. Decided that I needed to travel and see some of the world.  Went into the Air Force.  My job as a Munitions Systems Specialist took me to England, where I met my husband.  I was stationed in Turkey during Desert Storm as a Nuclear Weapons Safety Instructor.  After leaving the Air Force, Mike and I married and were stationed in Italy. After spending nearly 10 years in Europe, we came back to the US. We eased into life here from Minot AFB, ND. Yawn!   Wow, it's dull over there!  But, a good way to get back into the American lifestyle. Mike finally retired after 24 years in the bomb squad and we moved back to MN. We wanted our children to know their grandparents, still living in Alex, as well as the rest of our family. We found our dream home in Elk River and have settled into a routine. The kids in school, me working at Olive Garden (hey, you gotta love the food!), Mike working in Iraq.  Although not in the military, we still feel he has much to contribute to helping that country get sorted out. Our spare time is spent visiting Alex, hanging out with my dearest friends from high school-we still do an annual Labor Day weekend in Alex!  And, meeting new friends through our group with the MN Renaissance Festival.
