Have moved around the country- we moved from Hawaii; Whidbey Island, Washington; San Diego, CA. Following 9/11, my wife's ship was ship was sent out for two weeks; we also had an exciting time keeping the forest fires at bay!  After four years in the sun, we thought it would be nice to see the East Coast, so we packed our bags and headed for Pensacola, FL. We have watched trees uproot during Hurricane Ivan- but it didn't take our home- some of the trees are now part of our living room! MREs and a BBQ grill are staple items during hurricane season- along with a generator and plenty of gasoline.  My wife is Active Duty Navy (E-7), and recently returned from a yearlong tour in Afghanistan.  While she was out driving humvees and chasing bad guys in the hills of Kabul and Kandahar, I was raising our two daughters, one happening to be a teenager. (Remember what we did to our parents?) What a rough boat to be in!  Needless to say, the girls were happy when mom got home-someone to take them to the mall! :) In July we will be heading to Jacksonville, FL. Hopefully our final adventure!
