Once upon a time when humans did not live by themselves. It was a time when dragons and monsters roamed the earth. When wizards, elves and demons lived like humans. Also during this time there was a very special box. No one was sure what the box contained. Many say that the box was magical, that it contained the greatest power in the universe and this is why good and evil were always fighting. The strongest men tried to break open the box. The most powerful wizards and demons used their magic to open the box. But they all were impotent in opening the box. The only way the box could be opened was by using a special key. No one knew where the key was.
And so this brings us to our friend Dhruv, who lived in Benzino. Dhruv was a small, skinny boy. He was not all that strong and was not very good in physicall activities. He lived with his uncle who was getting old and was worried about what would become of him. So one day he sat Dhruv down and told him something very important. He said to him: "You know I am getting old and that I might die soon. But before I die I have one request." He started telling him about a box that everyone had been trying to open. "The only thing that can open the box is a key. I have that very key that opens that magical box. I tried to open it but I was not able to for some reason. But I believe that you woud have more luck than I did. So i want you to go and try to open it. I will tell you how to get there and you can take Kendell and Micael with you on this journey. Can you please do this for me?" Without a hesitation Dhruv accepted the request.
The next day Dhruv, Michael, and Kendell got ready for their trip. Dhruv's uncle spoke to Michael and Kendell in private before they left. "Can you please take care of Dhruv for me? He is not very strong but I t hink he is the only person in the world who is able to open the box. He is pure as water. I aslo have receiced word that Lord Camron has found out about the key. So I assume that he will have his followers looking for you. These are very dangerous demons and monsters. You both are very stout for going on this journey with him. Thank you."
As the three were about to leave Benzino, Dhruv's uncle told them where to go. "You must first go to Mangi Land where you will meet a woman name Sway. She will help you get to Ushavan that is where the box is. From there you will do through many dells, and there will probably be many different types od creatures, so be careful. The box will be in a chink in a wall. Be safe and have the courage needed."
So the three set off on their horses to Mangi Land. There they were, three
average men on an adventure to find out what the magical box contained.
"I wonder what is in the box," said Michael.
"Yea me too, I wonder if it is something palpable." said Kendell.
"My uncle said that it contains the greatest power anyone has seen. I miss him. But I'm being nostalgic." Said Dhruv.
"Me too," Said Kendell and Michael.
All of a sudden arrows were being shot at them. These ugly looking demons came out from the trees and bushes and surrounded the three. Michael and Kendell took out the swords and began to fight. Dhruv also fought the demons. But there were too many of them. They couldn't fight all of them. Then out of no where came an elf, which helped them fight the demons. As the last demon fell to the ground, the three thanked the elf for saving them.
The elf's name was Aries. "Is this the first time you have been in these parts?" he asked.
"Yes," said the three.
"Then my notion is you should not be traveling on your won. Where are you three going?"
"We are on our way to Mangi Land," said Dhruv.
"Well if you want, I will come with you," offered Aries.
"Would you? We would be very grateful," said Dhruv. As they set off, Dhruv told Aries why they were on their way to Mangi Land. Aries said that he would help them get to Ushavan too. So now there are four on this adventure.
They finally reached Mangi Land. There they were greeted by Indy. Indy was an old man, too, but very wise. He started telling them about Sway. "She is a very beautiful, smart, clever and strong woman. She will get you to Ushavan safely. I have a lot of faith in her." He then wwent to go tell Sway that they were there. He told her that she must go on this journey with them.
"I will not go on this stupid trip to find out what is in some box," yelled Sway.
"You are going."
"Do you wisj me dead father?" asked Sway.
"Why would you ask such a question?!"
"Then why is it that you are always making me do tasks that nearly cause my death? Now you send me out on one during which I am SURE TO DIE! I wish not to go father."
"You are going and that is final." And he walked away.
As soon as he left, Sway's friend Stan came in. He tried to calm her down, but she was so mad. He told her that he would speak to her father if she wanted.
"No, that is alright. He has made up his mind. The one who has given me life might as well be the one to give me death."
And so the next day Sway, Aries, Michael, Kendell and Dhruv sent out, traipsing along the road.
"She is so angry with me," said Indy to Stan.
"Yes, but she sill loves you."
"I only do these things because I know what she is capable of. She will not die. She is destined for great things. I know this."
As they continued on their trip, they only traveled during the day. During the nights they slept in ditches so that they would not be seen. They were also very careful during the day; they did not want one of Lord Camron's men findind them. As they started to get closer to Ushavan, a putrid smell filled the air. They could see buildings and land up in flames.
When they finally were in the city, all they saw were dead bodies everywhere.
"How do you think they died?" asked Michael.
"They probably died from afflictions. Said Sway.
"Yes. Lord Camron must have found out some of them betrayed him. So he probably burned them alive. He might have kept some of them as prisioners and did things to them that caused them pain," said Kendell.
"REALLY?!!!" Said Michael.
"Kendell stop joking around. Leave him aline or else he will get scared," said Dhruv.
"I was just trying to lighten up the mood," said Kendell. They all laughed except for Michael.
They crept through the city without anyone knowing. They finally reached the chink in the wall where the boz was. But before Dhruv opened the box, they thought for a second. "This was all too easy," said Aries. As soon as he said that trolls and demons came out of every direction. All five fought courageously against them. A big ugly strong troll was about to stab Dhruv. Michael saw this ans so he stood in front of Dhruv and took the hit. Kendell and Aries then ran to the troll and stabbed it to death. Michael continued to fight even though he was injured.
The battle was finally over. Sway, Aries, Kendell and Dhruv were left standing; Michael had collapsed. They all ran to him. Dhruv kept apolizing to him for getting him into all of this.
"I am sorry that I got you involved in all of this. You shouldn't have run in front of me. I am so sorry."
"Hey what are friends for. I told your uncle that I would take care of you. Now go and open the box." Those were his last words.
Dhruv then got up and started to walk to the wall. The other three followed. He pulled the trite box out slowly. Then he pulled the key off his neck, and placed it in the key hole. The box slowoly opened up and what the four saw them left them in great awe.
