It is known to be true that,"If you take risks, you may fail. But if you don't take risks you will surely fail. The greatest risk of all is to do nothing." This statement means that if you wish to successful you should take risks. Playing it safe will not bring any success at all. The safest bet is to go for it all. Two pieces of literature that support this statement are Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde a novel written by Robert Louis Stevenson And "The Masque of the Red Death" a short story written by Edgar Allen Poe.
"The Masque of the Red Death" a short story written by Edgar Allen Poe shows that a risk is worth taking. Prince Prospero took a risk when he went after the creature in the mask. When he first saw the creature he felt offended. Even though this as very risky it was worth it because if he didn't go after it the hapiness feeling would've of been lost. Going after it was a way to feel better about himself after getting mad when he saw the creature.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde written by Robert Louis Stevenson shows that taking risks are worth it. Dr. Jekyll's life was very successful. He felt like he didn't fully live to his own standards. Creating Mr. Hyde was worth the risk. By creating Hyde he fulfilled a part of himself that he felt was missing. By creating Hyde he felt he did everything he wanted to do in his life and know was truly successful in his eyes and socities.
It has been proven that, "If you take risks, you may fail. But if you don't take risks, you will surely fail. The greatest risk of all is to do nothing." This has been shown in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and "The Masque of the Red Death."
