The Wired Classroom

Introduction
Hello, Ms.Mayo!, Yes I always start off like this like every day. I look down my program card and I read down to what I have sixth period and it said "ENG8H Memoir" and right next to it- MAYO. I was like oh no, JenBabe remember when we had to write a story about ourselves, In Ms.Mayo's Women's Lit class, was that a memoir?, Jennifer nodded her head and replied "yes". "Ha ha you have Memoir with Ms.Mayo!", I made a slumpy face and walked into a computer room in which Ms.Mayo was conversing with another student about the class. As Ms. Mayo's big green eyes stared upon me, She said "This is gonna be fun year". I totally took her word for it as my fellow friends Crystal, Nkese, Tiffany, Paula, Mark, Emily, Lozaida,Vindiya,David Brown,Lisa, Patrice, Vanessa and oh-so-cool-friend Vijai and many other's waltzed into the classroom, looking for seats like scavenger hunters. Finally Ms.Mayo stated her famous quote unquote, "Put the lotions away, stop the passing of food and be quiet" As she read down the names for attendance.."Onyinye"---my answer "RIGHT HERE!!". I screamed on top of the chatting seniors. As she kept calling the names of students and friends finally she finished and started to explain what this class was about.
"Children,This is not only a writing composition class, this is also an Internet- Based Cyber English Class". As those four words rung in my head like a jingle bell my eyes opened up to what I never thought would ever happen, I am all of a sudden warped into a class, in which to my fantasies has come true a class where students can interact and have a teacher that is built with innate genes for fun and learning. I started thinking of all the compositions and personal essays I could contibute to this class. I started to see many computers and many people from other organizations reading my material and e-mailing me back about how profound and intelligent my work is. As my visions were broken up by Ms. Mayo passing out literature about the class, I turned to my friends, Crystal,Nkese and Tiffany and I learned that this is going to be a good senior year.

My Homepage---The Happiness and the Problems
As everyone knows, I can be a computer genius when I want to be, I noticed that making my homepage was going to be harder than I thought because we had to work on our homepages HTML now and usually I would work with my homepage by using page builder. I became scared about all the possibilities and all the coding that I would have to do in the future. I kept crying "Tiffany please help me, I really need your help!" As you know, Tiff my best friend is very intelligent and she knew what she was doing with the coding and by the time I knew it I was already ahead of the class in all the projects that I had to do. Finally when I started working on my page, I started procastinating on my homepage, I left most of my work half done and I started going on the internet and exploring things that were not a necessity to my education but a necessity to my social life. When I started getting tired about the internet I felt that it was time that I should get back on track and I returned to my homepage, Now I have about 10 viewing elements on my page, probably one of the biggest there is and I am still expanding.
*Life in Mrs.Mayo's Class*
This class to me is very fun, I can actually say that I wouldn't cut this class if anything in the world would have tried to stop to me. I look forward to this class everyday, I basically feel that this class is the highlight of my day. I wished that the uncertainties that happenened in the beginning this term disappeared, I would've rated this class a perfect 10 instead I rate this class a 9. I feel like Mrs. Mayo's Class creates a liberated environment where you can actually learn and be with your fellow classmates in an enjoyable state.
***The experiences that were shared between Me and Mrs. Mayo***
I feel like I have known Ms. Mayo for a life time. Ms. Mayo is the coolest and prettiest teacher I have ever known. She makes me feel great. For you guys who think that this class is very boring, I guess you need to think again. Everyday it feels like this class is only 16 minutes. It only feels like that because I have alot of fun when I come here. For all you cutters and excessively absent people you do not know what you are missing. I have never been absent to this class so I know what I am talking about. In this class I learned how to cut and paste pictures on to my webpage. Most people do not understand that computers are essential to our everyday lives. This class is a step up to making Jamaica High what it used to be---FUN.
****It is coming to the end of this class
I am extremely sad that I am going to graduate and leave My Ms. Mayo to the juniors next year. Every day I look around and I try to ask Ms.Mayo for more books to read. Considering the fact that education is always continuing no matter where you are. I love this class so much that I show my appreciation by creating a tribute for my fellow peers and my dear Ms.Mayo. I feel this class has gotten me back on track because I love English more than any other subject in this world. Last year I was traumatized by Ms.Beiderman she totally let me feel like I couldn't ever want to take English ever again. I mean this is not a English teacher bashing but don't you get what I mean? If most of you people understand what I mean then you would be typing the same thing.
My perfect grade in Ms. Mayo class
I got a perfect 95 in Ms.Mayo's class. I was extremely happy and I thank Ms. Mayo for being a nice teacher to me. I think I deserve this grade. I don't need to explain why you can see it by looking on my homepage.
