A fight for social justice.

This section of the page is fully dedicated to the people who gave up their life fighting for social justice in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. I know that I am speaking my language proudly because of them and I can say that I have a country full of people who does the same. Where ever you guys are, thank you guys.

It was midnight, 25th March 1971. The whole city of Dhaka was sleeping. Suddenly a shred sound tore down the curtain of silence. It was a sound of a shell from one of thousands of tanks that the Pakistani Cn'C sent to destroy thousands of unarmed, unalarmed people of the cities. There is very little logical explanation to why the Pakistani's used this much force agains a small, feeble country like Bangladesh. The most obvious reason seems to be the protests of the students in different universities and colleges againts the unjustly treatment of the Bengali people and Bengali Culture. Pakistan had been ruling Bangladesh for about 23 years starting from the day they forcibly took this part of Bangladesh from England.

About 5 million people died that night. The Bengali people call this "the black night" in their history. From then on the Bangladeshi people with the support of the Indians fought back and eventually won the war on December 16th 1971. The only reason I am writing this is to let people know that people have struggled to get their deserved justices. Offcourse they had to pay their price to get it. But when they got it, it was definitely worthed. I am just giving you an example of what the Bangladeshi people did in order to get their social justices. We know that there are smaller issuues of social injustices going around us. Issues, that when taken a stand against, will not bring havoc or bloodshed. SO what I am saying is, we have the power to stand up against the current social injustices, why not do so.

Here are some pictures that might visualize the ongoing situation in Dhaka during that time.
*Don't see it if you have a weak stomach.*
