Activism
Activism is something people should become involved in.
In this case a young innocent boy had his life taken because of his sexual prefrence. In my head I think of the two people who killed him. What was going through their minds? Did they even stop and concider things? Did they concider themselves? or even the consequnce of their actions. These two people alone caused a lot of hurt and pain. Judy Shepard the mother of Matthew Shepard made a good point when she emphasized hate is a learned behavior. Hate crimes take place everyday and are usually not taken serious. People die because of who they are. Can you just imagine having someone close to you die because of the color of their skin or just simply expressing themself. It's in plain view that hate crimes are morally wrong. Are we as Americans in our country willing to put a stop to this? Do we understand the importance? Things like this is why we should vote. Let our voices be heard and elect someone who is willing to listen.
