Nate and Tammy |
Tammy was the first Sheltie that
we fostered in the fall of 2001. She had apparently been abused
physically, used by a home breeder as a money making project and
abandoned. When we got her she was of course very shy, had heartworms and
a skin condition. After several weeks of care, medical treatment and
attention this wonderful dog had gained some confidence, her coat had
started coming in and she was starting to be the playful, loving pet you
see here.
It was very hard on all of us when she was adopted into her permanent
home but it was very rewarding knowing that we had helped give this animal
a normal life.
Tammy now lives with a couple South of Houston that have provided her a
wonderful home and lots of affection and attention. |
