James Hughes Kilgore & Martha Baynes were married January 24, 1924 at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Edd Ridley. Rev. J.O. Dantzler performed the ceremony. He was also the postman and it was reported that they "held up" the mail until the ceremony was over.
2009 Reunion
The 2009 Kilgore Family Reunion will be Saturday June 20 at the New Hope Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. At the last reunion, it was decided to invite all the descendants of Beauregard and Sarah Kilgore to participate. So spread the word.
Plan on coming at 11:00 to visit. We will eat at 1:00. Bring pictures and other memories to share. Here are pictures of past reunions.
