THE CONNELLS

The Connells are one of my favorite bands of the last 15 years. The sound is anywhere from Jethro Tull to that rock band you saw at the local bar last week. They are essentially a refined, veteran college rock band. In fact, almost all of their albums have been in the top-5 of the college charts at one point or another. The peak of their popularity was in 1989-1990 with the success of "Fun and Games," but they have a loyal fan following and generally sell out the venues they play at. No top-40 hits or anything, but almost every song could have been t-40 if they were on a bigger label perhaps (TVT). Live shows are great also, and they usually play 25-30 songs in a set, soyou're sure to hear your favorites....
