BAD RELIGION

Bad Religion has always been seen as one of the original bands in the American punk scene, or at least the one which brought punk more mainstream. They've been around since the early '80s, pumping out album after album. The sound is hard, ranging from slower power ballad-type songs to quick punk riffs, but almost all of it is catchy, and one can't help but like BR after listening for a while. The major recent change in BR has been the leaving of Brett Gurewitz, who wrote many of their songs and played guitar.
Gurewitz left to spend all of his time running his music label, Epitaph records, which is home to such groups as the Offspring and Rancid. Singer Greg Graffin has carried on the band and they recently released a great new album "No Control," following up the rather weak "Gray Race" album.
