Our Pets

We share our house with two dogs, and one cat who thinks he's a dog.

Christy

Christy is our original Pet. She's a Norwegian Elkhound, black lab mix. She is 14 years old, and has a rough time walking lately, but otherwise is in pretty good health. Could be cause she loves her green vegetables. Anything crunchy, she'll eat. She'll even dig her own potatoes out of the garden, not disturbing too many around the one she selects.

London

Just look at that face. How could you not love that dog! London, like Christy is 14 (born 1987). He's mostly Golden Retriever, but as a pound puppy, who knows. He is just as easy going as his picture would  have you believe. He loves to play fetch, or to have any attention. He's in great health, except he tends to be deaf some of the time; not just selective hearing, but really can't hear at all probably 60% of the time. He got his name from his original owner, who's little girl (5 at the time) loved London Bridge is falling down.

Denver

Here kitty kitty kitty!

This is Denver. He adopted us in 1998. He has no idea that he is a cat, except for the fact all he wants to do is eat and sleep. He's a Maine-coon cat, which can grow t be quite big. He's fairly large, about 16 pounds or so. One of the nice things about a cat that is raised with dogs, is that he uses the backyard as his litter box. No litter box smell at all in our house. I'd rather rake it up with the dog droppings than deal with a litter box.
