| This 10-pointer was scored at 150. I shot him about 7:30 friday morning of first shot gun season. It was a 40 degree morning with no wind or breeze at all. The week before the bow hunting had been a little slow with alot of does running around. Rut this year was really mild with not much action going on. But this particular buck came out of the woods chasing four does like he owned the woods. It had rained hard the week before and my stand was at the edge of once dried up pond that became filled again causing me to wade to my stand. The buck came out about 175 yards directly behind me. My brother was hunting about 300 yards behind me and I was waiting to hear him shoot and take my dream buck. The buck closed in within 100 and was starting to trail away from me so I decide to shoot. After 6 shots I finally hit him in the top of the back. He dropped back in the woods and I waited about 30 mins. and went and found him lying about 400 yards to my right side. | ||||||||||||
