She is in a private room at the care facility and is fine with the decision to be there. The oncologist advised it was best because she needs 24/7 care, monitoring, medications, and some physical assistance. All of this is more than Leslie or any family member could handle at this point. Leslie brought over some things from MaryLou's house to make her room a little homier and spruce it up. The minister visited with Mary Lou and Leslie yesterday to discuss funeral plans (as I'm typing this to you, I'm totally numb and completely teary eyed.....I just can't believe what's happening). MaryLou would really appreciate it if we (her Ross friends) would jot down a few personal comments about her years at Ross.....perhaps your personal connection with her (employee, peer, manager, whatever). Some information that could be shared at her services. She feels it would be nice for Leslie to hear and have those things to read about her Mom. Please email me your thoughts and I will get them to Leslie. Pleae respond by the end of this week. Special thanks to Linda Ruhl and Kathy Hoyt for all of their support and for helping me through this time. To all my Ross friends, thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers for Mary Lou. I am having a really hard time (as I'm sure you all are as well), accepting the fact that such a vibrant, caring, dynamic individual will soon be leaving us and heading toward her home in Heaven. Seeing Mary Lou in her lakeside home and the excitement on her face about the next phase of her life after retiring from Ross, will forever be in my many memories of her. Sadly, we are close to losing another part of our Ross foundation............. Lisa |
