| Probably the strongest among the intelligent races, the vynars resemble their ogren heritage in appearance but have a thought process rivaling humans. They have a highly cultured society, and are very peaceful. Personality: Vynars are actually less intelligent then most other races, however they have a great amount of refinement. Almost all vynars believe in the beauty of life, taking great joy in the arts. Although overall peaceful, they are quick to rage when angered. They have little self control, although a well self disciplined vynar is very powerful and popular. They are fiercely loyal, and believe in their beliefs to the end. Although overall stubborn, they are normally able to realize when they have been beaten. Although not extremely good singers, they value music highly. They are known for having vynar-size instruments, especially among the string bass, string harp, drums, and many brass instruments. Their instruments are normally loud, but still gentle, which is how the vynars prefer them. The vynar have a love for wine, much like the elves do, however many are susceptible to the lure of good ale. They love art, poetyr, and writing, and tend to excel in all of them. Physical Description: Vynars are taller than most intelligent races, being anywhere from seven feet to ten feet, to their head. Vynars tend to have slanted necks, sticking them forward, despite being able to stick them straight up. Unlike other cultures, most vynar have nothing against holding their heads low, and tend to decide height by the shoulder. Their skin is often a yellowish or brownish tent, being slightly off-color then a similarly colored human. They tend to have dark or dark blond hair, and keep it long. Relations: Vynars tend to get along well with other races, especially their neighbors. Those people who do not know much about the vynars might be overly suspicious about them at first, but after learning the vynars cultured personality, this is quickly lessoned. They despise orcs, ogres, and other uncultured creatures. Overall, they prefer the company of humans or elves, even though some elves do not get along as well with vynars as they might. Alignment: Vynars tend to be neutrally aligned in all aspects, never really leaning toward good or evil, law or chaos. They enjoy both the law and chaos of art, and rarely swing either way. Vynar Lands: Vynars tend to live in open plains, but build beautiful cities there. They are not overly fond of too high altitudes, although hills do not bother them. They are not fond of vegetated areas, but do not hate them, nor do they care for the underground areas of dwarves. Beyond that, most other areas are fair game. Religion: Ogres are not highly religious, instead worshipping art as a religion. If anything, they would worship deities of knowledge or arts, or occasionally defense. They are not fond of war, but realize the need for defense. Language: The vynarian language seems to be an odd combination of elven and orc, but is very fluid. The language tends to use the common alphabet. Names: Vynar names tend to resemble human names, but their last names tend to be a combination of two words describing them. They do not gain their names from heritage, but instead their parents name their first name and at 15 years they take their second name. Sample Male Names: Raggorak Stonemaul, Jalinar Starknight, Namellak Hellart, Braveon Sorrowblade Sample Female Names: Grelanna Heavyheart, Viellezza Homefire, Coryllin Fluterage, Xellewyn Winebrewer Adventurers: Vynars are not common adventurers, for they tend to like staying at home and working on their various hobbies or bettering their community. Vynarian adventurers tend to be very hearty and at that, scary combatants. Although many other adventurers may think vynars as barbarians, they often tend toward the more intellectual careers, and many adventurers welcome vynars into the ground.
