When a person is within the Cylinder and the Cylinder is activated (by a small room that neighbors the room), the room draws out all of the magical energy within the person and stores it within the Seat of Greith. The stored energy then functions like elementium, being used to power magical items and many functions of the Seat of Greith itself. Often times the magical energies that the applicants give off is enough to power Raethos through the year, but sometimes it is not. During these times, an archmage will give his energies to the Seat of Greith, which normally fills it up very well due to the archmages huge amount of magical energies.
