O R I G I N
Bandor, the LG god of creation, Ordala, the CG goddess of nature, and Eldrin, the NG god of life giving, left the old Council, disgusted with the Council's decision to deny the intelligent creatures of their former realm the right of free will. Frustrated, and a bit angry, the three traveled the cosmos, searching for just the right place to start anew, where they could create a new universe in which men and women could live with free minds, able to make their own decisions, and influence the world around them. For millenia they traveled, until they stumbled upon the empty zone of grey which they called Nir.

Nir was void; neither light nor darkness touched any corner of the plane, and the three deities surmised the plane had arisen as a natural evolution of the great Planar strings and filaments. The nature of the Planes needed to expand, and so it did, resulting in Nir. The Three found Nir to be an ideal spot, untouched by any other power, and far remote from the other cosmologies they had passed through on their way to discovering Nir. "It is perfect," Bandor mused. "Yes, ideal," Ordala echoed. "Let us begin," Eldrin said at last.

Though the deities felt a universe far different from their former home was in order, at least in shape and design, it mirrored the splendor and magnitude of their former home. A great expanse was made--this, the Three called Space--and it was filled with gargantuan balls of burning gasses--these, the Three called Stars--just as it had been, and was still, in their old realm. The Three chose one star to be the focus of their creation--this star they named Aethyr. Around Aethyr they formed <insert number> heavenly bodies, which they called Planets, and they set the planets in orbit around Aethyr. The Three shaped each planet so that all would balance each other; one was a barren, noxious desert, while another was a frozen glacier. One was nothing but volcanoes, while another was a lush, beautiful world with water and earth--all paying homage to the realm they left, and to a time when that realm was great.

Eager to reforge the greatness of life over which they previously ruled, they chose this lush planet, Aldreia, and the Three each created new Life--trees, plants, the birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and the beasts of the land. After all was balanced and completed, the Three rested.

Now the three had seperated a piece of Nir away from the rest... This piece they renamed Zyhir, which in the great tongue of the gods of their former realm meant "Neutral Place". At Zyhir the Three discussed what races they would create. At Zyhir they would meet, at Zyhir they rested, and at Zyhir they lived. Such was the way of things during the First Age of Aldreia, the Age of Creation.
