Le'reshian Officials
The king does not sit watch over these spectacles of dance and manners, his business is unfailingly private, and those who wish to speak with him, must first learn who to speak with and how. Alaster Draven is the King's personal bodyguard, while a foreigner, and planetouched, he has mastered the ways of court with unfailingly grace and beauty. "His eyebrows speak volumes!" is a high compliment in Le'resh, and one that is always given to Draven. In a kingdom as subtle as Le'resh where you speak your mind without speaking, he is, despite his heritage, considered to be an excellent choice for bodyguard and Voice of the King.

The Voice of the King entertainers the various diplomats, and courtiers of Le'resh, until such time as he has decided, that they are no danger to His Majesty, that their business does need to be brought to king's eye, and that they are sincere in their requests to see him. He is in a word the avatar or proxy for the King. This is not to say that the Monarch does no work, on the contrary, it is to insure that the King is not overburdened with tasks that a minor official is capable of taking care.

The King usually only has contact with his three councils, Merchant, Noble, and Military, and his Voice. These with the exception of the Voice are appointed by election by factions they represent. The Voice is appointed by the Monarch, usually his best friend, or closet sibling, as it is important that the Voice be the person the monarch most trusts in the kingdom. All are subject to a test laid out by the gaes blade, Riku Aliarenor.

The structure of the rule of Le'resh is quite spread out. There are mayors in the few towns, who answer to the nobles who hold the land in the King's name. Nobles can have their positions revoked, by vote of the Nobles' council or by mandate of the King for failure to follow the tenets of the country. The nobles answer to the Nobles Council, who in turn advise the King, and are advised by him.

The Merchant's Council is made up of the various head of guilds, not only merchants, but others as well. They are responsible for insuring that the price of products matches the quality of products, with the exception of horses, which fall to the Nobles' Council.

The Military Council is made up of the highest ranking officers of the Le'reshian army, which is mostly cavalry. Le'resh maintains a fraction of a navy, and foot soldiers. All councils, while they advise the King are subject to him, as the Monarch is the absolute law of Le'resh.
