| History of Le'resh | ||
| It is believed that the present kingdom of Le'resh was founded by rebels, or exiles from Aelthiur sometime before the first Aelthiurian war. The records of the founders of Le'resh do not mention where they came from, but similarities between the cultures and the age of the records cannot be overlooked. It is said that the founders traveled for many years, never finding a place to call their own. They suffered many hardships, their horses were taken from them in some places, leaving the herds at a fraction of what they had been. Many people stood against them, chasing them from places where they stopped to rest. And always the lands they came from, and went to were filled with fences, where no man could run free. Their salvation came in strange form, for despite all their prayers, the gods never appeared to aid them. However they found the ruins of a strange city, and at it's center, were three great stones, written upon the stones were the laws of the city. There hung between the stones was a masterfully worked sword, the sword of the Kings of Le'resh. This blade contained the soul of the first king of the original city, a powerful gaes blade, who's only purpose was to insure the safety and fairness of the rule of the land. In taking the sword, the leader of the rebels became king of the lands. His name was Tyriel Rus Gavan, and all who claim that name are direct descendants of him. The people who follwed Rus Gavan rebuilt the ruins of the city, and began to breed their herds. To this day, the three stones stand in the center of the city, near to the palace, a monument, as is the family's blue hair, to the gaes laid upon the family Rus Gavan. |
