Karth
(Singular - Karth, Possessive - Karthen)
Karthen are humanoid creatures which appear to be a cross between a wolf and a human. They physically resemble human and elves, but they have wolf-shaped heads instead and are covered in fur. Their fur is often tan, red, brown, gray, or black and white. Karthen typically have dark brown eyes, but lighter brown and blue eyes can be found. They have short tails of about 1.5 to 2 feet which look like wolf tails. Karthen are normally between 5�4� and 5�10�. Karthen enter adulthood at the age of 15 years, middle age at 35, old age at 53, and venerable age at seventy. They typically live 72 to 100 years.

Above all, karthen are personable. They quickly get along wtih everybody as they are immensely social beings. A rare few are militant, but karthen tend to be free spirited, always rewarding originality. Their emotions are important to their society, and are easily hurt when people dislike them.

~ +2 Charisma, -2 Wisdom. Karth have a large force of personality, but are quick to act with and rely heavily on their emotions.
~ Medium-size: As Medium-size creatures, karth have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
~ +2 racial bonus to jump checks. Karth are excellent jumpers, being able to leap much higher then others.
~ Falling Reflexes. Karth ignore 1d6 points of falling damage when falling, due to their quick reflexes.
~ Powerful Nose: The Karth have a strong sense of smell, so gain the scent ability. However, the karth may only use this ability at half of its effectiveness, normally being able to smell 15 feet away as oppose to the normal 30 feet.
~ +2 racial bonus on listen checks. Karth can hear slight sounds easily.
~ Karth base speed is 30 feet, but when on all fours they can move at a speed of 40 feet.
~ Automatic Languages: Common and Karthen. Bonus Languages: Any.
~ Favored Class: Sorcerer
