Their fleet sails every ocean and sea in Aldreia making it's economy one of the riches in the world. Despite its success the common people of Azurestar are humble and well liked by the world at large. History: Azurestar was originally a colony of ocean elves who liked traveling on the lush islands from time to time. During the Great Elf Purge during the Aeon of Black Ice, a group of elves fled to these islands and received sanctuary. 400 years ago human sorcerers and there families found the islands while fleeing from Shiarah. The Queen of the elves came to the Humans aid and destroyed Shiarah's fleet that was chasing the sorcerers. Soon the leader of the sorcerer's, "Jaison Dragonstone" became the elf queen�s lover and together raised their half-elf son with pride. Naturally there were some humans and elves that did not approve of this but 400 years later Azurestar is still a mighty kingdom consisting of over 30 islands and a fleet of over a thousand ships. ISLANDS: -Union is the main island and capitol of Azurestar. In addition of the Royal Palace, this tropical island houses some of the greatest clerical and arcane minds in the world. Powerful merchant houses also make there homes here and embassies from every civilized nation can be found here. King Wavecrasher rules with a kind heart, charisma, and powerful allies of the sea. -White Tide is the main trading metropolis of the Kingdom. The city outgrew the island 200 years ago and only the rich and powerful do there business there. For everyone else massive city ships and underwater communities are where business is taken care of. The main shippers of goods and items is The White Tide Company run by "Mr. TryMail". Noteworthy adventures are sometimes granted membership in the White Tide Company. It's not long after that those same adventures are seen equipped with powerful magic items. This has caused some groups to become employees of the Company enforcing its law on individuals that would be too powerful for normal law officers. -Cutlass Rock is a chain of islands has become the bottom of the barrel for most of Azurestar's less successful businessmen. Pirates and con-artists populate the area. Blood is spilt so often in these islands that the water is stained black. This is just superstition however. The Ocean floor is very rich in adamantine because of a meteor that crash on Aldreia thousands of years ago. Evil merfolk are the real power in the area and trade discovered gold from ship wreaks and adamantine to the pirates in exchange for power. |
