Aelthiur Regional Counts
Hurikor Lord Baesurik of Hurikor - Lord Baesurik is a noble man, through and through.  Well educated, he is strong of mind but weak of spirit.  He can often be found in his residence contemplating ways to help his region, but is timid and, while thoughtful, rarely speaks out.  A decent man, though he has his faults, Lord Baesurik is often criticized for doing little beyond assisting the emperor but admired for the reforms he has attempted to put in place throughout his region.

Saerenoth Lord Constarian of Saerenoth - Lord Constarian is a bit of a youth, only in his mid-twenties.  He is popular among the women of the court for his dashing good looks, but the majority of the nobles find him irritating.  However, despite the fact that few people give him credit for being more than a haughty young lad, Constarian is a masterful diplomat, having been able to strengthen the poor bonds with the east as well as ensure that Saerenoth retains its prominence among the regions of Aelthiur.  He is a learning wizard, though only of minor skill, as well as a likeable and charming man.

Uth Vangiir Lord Gardrin of Uth Vangiir - Lord Gardrin is said to have bought his way into the emperor's good will.  The obese man once served as the adviser to King Veledour, who ruled Uth Vangirr until Aelthiur reclaimed the region, but, upon King Veledour's death, Lord Gardrin quickly gave the region to the empire in exchange for being given countship over Uth Vangiir.  Lord Gardrin is normally a rude man, though humble when around people of higher status and fairly paranoid.  He is the most detested among the counts, and not well liked throughout his region despite Uth Vangiir's great loyalty to Aelthiur.

Tordryon Lord Sellynoth of Hurikor - Tordryon, like Argenn, was the highly nationalistic and unwilling to join the growing empire.  However, only a couple years after Tordryon was forced into the empire, a close friend of the emperor, Sellynoth, was appointed as the count of the region.  A well-liked middle-aged knight, Lord Sellynoth was able to completely reverse the view point of the region.  Tordryon is now a thriving region, more so than it has ever been, and is in very good relations with Aelthiur.  Lord Sellynoth is an easy-going man who believes in strong principles and a united people, as well as being an excellent public speaker.

East Blakkezur Lady Meladris of East Blakkezur - The elderly Lady Meladris was, before being appointed to her position, a hermit with no diplomatic experience and almost no social experience at all.  In fact, she resided in her small cottage along the forest's edge until Emperor Agyros shockingly gave her the position of Count of East Blakkezur.  While her appointment was met with some resistance due to her odd habits, Lady Meladris was soon recieved well, for her wisdom seemed infinite. It is unknown why the emperor gave her the position, but Lady Meladris is a kind and caring old woman that many have termed the 'Grandmother of East Blakkezur'.

West Blakkezur Lord Druggith of West Blakkezur - The fiery tempered Lord Druggith is perhaps the rudist and most obnoxious of any of the counts.  Dark and politically bloodthirsty, Lord Druggith is the grandson of King Iirathus, who joined Hurikor immediately when the empire began reforming and was allowed to keep his position.  Now, Lord Druggith is the third of his line to be the count of West Blakkezur, and retains it with an iron fist.  While as a person not normally well liked, Lord Druggith can mentally tear down any adversary, as well as being well-learned with the sword.  The dark-haired Druggith does remain a strong leader for West Blakkezur, and has gained excellent relations with the Aedin (of whom he tends to get along infamously with).

Argenn Lady Helldark - The most twisted of the counts, Lady Helldark is more a construct of the empire than a real person.  Argenn, liked Tordryon, was very unwilling to rejoin the empire, but unlike Tordryon, Argenn was given a less than diplomatic leader to keep the peace, and Lady Helldark did so very well.  A terrifyingly oppressive ruler, Lady Helldark rules her region with public and cruel punishments.  Furthermore, due to her influence, Argenn is said to be the only region that resents being a part of the empire.  Lady Helldark is highly mysterious, though some facts have been gathered on her.  For one, she appears to wear the fabled armor of Arlia, a great artifact thought lost.  Second, her mastery over chains lends credit to the idea of her being a kyton.  Third, her actions and abilities are oddly similar to those of the Setting Sun Clan, which was decimated during the invasion of Argenn by the empire.

Crale Lord Wethrim of Crale - Ruling the smallest of the Aelthiurian regions, this ex-sailor is an elder frail man that is supposedly dying of age.  He remains noble still, confident in himself and his decisions, but rarely leaves his throne.  Lord Wethrim was given the countship after the original count died during a barbarian attack and Wethrim was the heir to the highest ranking noble family of Crale.  His appointment was met with some resistance due to Wethrim having been a sailor more of his life than a noble, and to this day many people say that he makes his decisions more off of what his advisors tell him than what he thinks.  Lord Wethrim is a hard-hearted man who believes in his principles and his region, and is unwilling to take any form of insult from anybody.

Drath Sakinnys Lord Agyrian of Drath Sakinnys - Lord Agyrian is the emperor's older brother and son of the late King Agyron of Drath Sakinnys.  Lord Agyrian tends to follow his brother in most aspects of his rulership, but remains a strong ruler and strong count in Drath Sakinnys.  Though over fifty years old, he remains youthful and skilled in the arts of battle, as well as a noble man.  Lord Agyrian is commonly found leading his region's knights in all manners of their lives, leading his life as a role model, for it was his goal to be a knight himself until he turned into a count.  Virtuous and good, Lord Agyrian is an excellent leader for Drath Sakinnys.

Norithin Lord Maldigar of Norithin - Lord Maldigor is, to be put politely, a fool.  He is paranoid and rash, speaking for only what serves him best.  Being in his mid-sixties, Maldigor is aging but still of decent health.  The count of Norithin often ignores their outcries, giving little heed to the encroaching orcs, giants, and all manner of other foul creatures that are invading the northern areas of Aelthiur.  Not respected by his fellow counts, Lord Maldigor normally stays silent in the face of people he finds equal, and degrades those he finds beneath him.

Alieth Wastes Lady Belleura of the Alieth Wastes - Lady Belleura is the daughter of the Beldor, who was appointed rulership during the time the Alieth Wastes was a republic.  Upon Aelthiur reclaiming the wastes and her father's death, Lady Belleura was given rulership over the wastes.  Very optimistic and hopeful toward the future, Lady Belleura has taken great strides toward making her desolate region more prosperous as well as fighting off the orcs, barbarians, and giants that seem to have taken a liking to her lands.  Though not as politically centered as the rest of the counts, Lady Belleura is exceptionally popular with her people and has taken numerous strides toward the building of her region.
