Cat Dissection
For some, this was the day they had been waiting for. For others, it was the day they had been dreading all year. Either way, we got right down to business. The first step was to skin the cat.

Next, we began removing the connective tissue and teasing out some of the muscle groups:
Sartorius and Gracilis
Rectus femoris, Vastus lateralis, Vastus medialis, Semimembranosus, Semitendinosus, Adductors femoris and longus
Biceps femoris, Vastus lateralis, Gastrocnemius, Semitendinosus
Trapezius, Latissimus dorsi, Triceps brachii (lateral head and long head)
Pectoralis group, Biceps brachii, Triceps brachii (long head)
Rectus abdominis, Transverse abdominis, External and Internal obliques
After several days of skinning, removing, and teasing, we finally opened the body cavity:
Gallbladder, Liver, Stomach, Spleen, Small intestine
Heart, Lungs, Diaphragm, Liver, Gallbladder
Liver, Pancreas, Stomach, Small intestine
Spleen, Kidney, Large Intestine (colon), Small intestine
Next, we took a closer look at the urogenital system, observing the major organs of the urinary and reproductive systems.
