Dear Dr. Gudayol,
In the article titled "The 1998 Fields Medal Affair" that you submitted to the AMS Notices on September 28, you accuse Ernest Fontich, Carles Simo, Jean Christophe Yoccoz, Curtis McMullen, Yuri Manin, and the whole 1998 Fields Medal committee of fraud; and you state that you are willing to risk "an accusation of libel".
The Notices, however, is not willing to publish potentially libelous statements. Therefore the Notices declines to publish your submission.
Nonetheless, the AMS does have a formal channel for members to file complaints such as yours. This channel is the AMS Committee on Professional Ethics. If you wish to consult that committee about your grievance, you can find the membership listed on the web at http://www.ams.org/secretary/comm-all.html .
Sincerely,
Harold Boas
