(Hero, E-Walk, Hollow Man, Biggot, and Deserted have all been
recorded onto a demo CD.
Check it out here...)

Songs
We're definately gonna do...
Check out some
lyrics for the songs.

"Hero" - This is the hero song with B. L. Z. Bub at the start.  Maybe we can name our band BLZ.  Maybe not.  We'll find a good drummer for this one to do some cool fills. If I can remember my guitar part, then I call some one else remembers the bass line.

   "Mr. Vincent" -
I haven't even heard this song, but I like it. This one is under the direction of Mike and Jason, I look forward to hearing it.  Some one send me the lyrics and I'll post them.

!Update! "E-Walk" - We'll never recreate that, I don't even remember my part.
We can try and rerecord it with a drummer.  If it sounds okay, we could just get a drummer (or me) to play along (it's not in strict time), cuz it really needs a strong rythm, I've got a cool double bass riff in mind. Otherwise, I'm keeping the old Tascam tape exactly how it is, just remix it.  I've transferred the tracks over to my recorder.  It sounds terrible, but in a classic sort of way.

!Update! "The Waves" - I wrote the lyrics to this a long time ago. When I wrote another song that needed lyrics, I pulled it out and they fit like magic.  Seth has recorded the drum tracks, which Igot all mixed down.  The instrumentation isn't exactly what I wanted it to be, so I've got a ways to go on this one.  It's got some lead guitar harmonies in there, too, like Metallica or Opeth or something.  It'll be cool.

!Update! "Battered" - This is that song with the whammy pedal. It's kinda got a Tool or Godsmack feel to it.  Seth's drum part came out great, I might redo the vocals, check out the lyrics here.  It's almost done, after I decide what I'm gonna do with the vocals, it just needs mixed.

      "Untitled" -
This is that heavy riff in 3/4 time, the leper song that I KNOW Mike has heard (cuz I put it on the tape I made for him twice).  I like the versions I've recorded, I just need a drummer to put a solid drum track on there. You'll love it, I know.

!Update! "Hollow Man" - Not the movie.  This is a bitchin song, the verse is all acoustic stylee, with some eerie lead around there some where, kinda slow and spooky.  Then the chorus comes slamming in with full distortion.  There's two vocal parts in the chorus, a call and response type deal between the lead vocal and a chorus.  I just need the boys in LSP to do those background vocals, along with Kappsman and Huntsky and anyone else who wants to be on the album.

Last Song -  "Deserted" - Our oldest song, I gave it that name because the lyrics make reference to the desert and sands and shit like that. Jason's lyrics were about a bank robbery and the emotions provoked, and I threw in a few about the same kind of emotions, if not directly related to the situation. I like how the lyrics aren't about the robber or the victims, or even a bank robbery exactly, but are more abstact, about a situation where you're stripped of every thing. I think that gives the title double meaning.
And, on the other hand, it's the
coolest fucking song ever!
Mission Statement
Old Ideas
I don't know if we'll do any of these...

"Jason's Step (Locust)" - This is that cool dropped-D song I wrote one night on Jason's front step on his acoustic guitar. This one will be a lot of work and may be omitted because, so far, it only exists on paper.  I might just do it all at home, because I really want it on the CD...

"The Watching" -
This is kind of a chord based song, I've worked out a bit of the lyrics, but it needs to be jammed on for a while.  Maybe Jason or Mike will know what it needs.

   "Elite Crime"
Based on a true story. I'm working on the lyrics and a follow up solo piece called "Sunshine," which I've played for Trav and Dangerfield, probably Mike and Jason, too. It's cool.

Other random shit. See what pops up at the Lyrics Page.

"The Josh Summers and Travis Capps Drop-D Song" -
I like that name.  Travis knows what I'm talking about.  I wrote another piece to it, that Pantera sounding riff.  I think we should add that one riff in there that we were all jamming on in Dad's attic, when it was Jason, Mike, Chance, and I playing along to the drum machine and Travis was recording us (over the Misguided Hatred tape).  We'll see, maybe Chance will sing it again.

I'd like some of the stuff Jason was working on to go on here.  If he wants something particular, we'll do it, all systems go. We're looking at "Broken Watch," it needs some writing done on it (time for a jam session). I like that blues song, too, the acoustic thing he had goin on, so we'll have to do some crunching.

"Concerto for Bass" - I originally wrote a verse riff to accomodate lyrics, but since the instrumental part turned out to take up 75% of the song, I just wrote in some cool stuff for the pseudo bass (my Les Paul pitch-shifted down an octave).  With a real bass on there, I think everyone will like it.  This one might get dropped, we'll see.

   "Beowulf" -
Jason and I wrote this when I was down in May.  With some good lyrics, this could have been great... but.... we forgot it all. . .
