ABOUT PONY CLUB
          USPC MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the United States Pony Club is to provide a program for youth that teaches riding, mounted sports, and the care of horses and ponies, thereby developing responsibility, moral judgment, leadership and self-confidence.
THE OLD DOMINION REGION
The Old Dominion Region has a total of Registered clubs of the United States Pony Clubs with a new club forming in January 2006.  Our territory covers the southeastern coastline, through the pastoral Shenandoah Valley, to the borders of West Virginia and Tennessee. 

The Old Dominion Region is active throughout the year with clinics, camps and regional rallies ( competitions) in the disciplines of Eventing, Mounted Games, Dressage, Show Jumping and Quiz ( unmounted competition of horse knowledge).  Explore out site and learn more about us.  Contact me or the District Commissioner ( leader) of the club nearest you using the links from the map of our region.

Pony Club is the leading junior equestrain organizations in the world, represented in 30 coutnries.  The United States has over 600 member clubs spread throughout the 48 states and the Virgin Islands with a total members of over 12000. 

The pony club program offers mounted programs in Dressage, Eventing, Games, Show Jumping, Polocrossee and Tetrathlon, Foxhunting .  Unmounted instruction includes information on the care, feeding, shoeing, veterinary care and other areas of horse management.  Although it is not necessary for a child to own their own horse or pony, they must have access to one when required.
