Ever since eighth grade, I remember wanting to be a newspaper reporter. It was that year that I called "my dad's company," (my dad works for a newspaper, and I always felt I had 'connections' up there because of it, especially when I was younger!). I talked to a reporter named Bill Fortier about a memorial being dedicated to a student who has passed on when he was in seventh or eighth grade. Bill came up to the school the next day, and talked with several students and teachers -- a photographer was also present. It amazed me that, the next day, there was a B1 (local front page) story complete with photo -- and no bias, just the reporter -- in a presentable and easy-to-understand format. Since then, I joined my high school newspaper after school, eventually becoming hooked by the atmosphere surrounding what I was doing. I worked my way up to editor-in-chief, mentored by two great English and Journalism teachers. I also published my own online magazine, Jaguar Gaming Journal, for the Atari Jaguar, and later did some freelance work for The Auburn News and The Southbridge Evening Daily News. I entered college and became a co-editor of The Bison at Nichols College, and also contributed to Wrestlingdotcom.com. I also published my own daily wrestling publication online, named This Day in Wrestling History. Even where I am employed now, I contribute to the employee news letter. Below is my journalism resume -- above are links to clips and work that was published, originated by me. If you would like to view it, please click on the pages below. |
