Paul Whichcote
Paul came to Maryland around 1700, considered himself to be a mariner and served Kent Co. as King's Commissioner of the Peace from 1747 -1751. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Kent County, which was located only a few miles from his home, Whichcote Hall. His family was a noble one going back to the time of King Edward II. In his will made at age 67 in 1752, Paul made several bequests to be held for his grandson, Benjamin Whight (sic ), until be became of age. Paul married Mary. (Mary died after 1761.) |
