One interesting story that my Dad told concerned Annie Florence. Her
husband Les Heath left her and went to Florida with another woman. There he
murdered her and shot himself (he served less that 3 years). Meanwhile a
negro broke in Annie's house and severely beat her and misshape her head.
Papa (Grover) and his brothers hushed it up and brought Les back to take
care of her. Annie had two baby girls that died at birth. Papa was there and said that my older sister Jelaine looked like the two babies when she was born.
