Welcome again, Buddy Andrews here to update you on the Somers Point Jazz Society Fist Annual 2008 Jazz Master Award; A Tribute To The Life and Music of Johnny Andrews. A special thanks of appreciation goes to President of the SPJS; Mr. Nichols Regine, and the presenter of the Atlantic City Jazz Master Proclamation Presented by Mrs. Barbara Hudgins; The Jazz Master Plaque presented by Douglas Clunn.

The First Annual Jazz Master Award Dinner took Place on Johnny's Birthday 23 February 2008 and the Somers Point Jazz Society also provided music with special guest Charles [email protected] which was very entertaining. It was the consummate touch to a perfect evening. Several local celebrities were there as Dad received the award and they each gave congratulatory speeches to Johnny including local radio show hosts, and others including Mr. Walt Murphy who was responsible in introducing Johnny Andrews at The Jazz Workshop Radio Program to Mr. Howard Green of the Green Group, a Communications Conglomorate owner of TV/Radio stations in South Jersey in 1975. The program on then: WMGM 103.7 FM and later on WOND Radio 1400 AM.
