You must have a Mining Laser(Broker or Banker) installed on your ship in order to complete these missions. Only members of the Quantarian Faction get to start the game set-up to stake a claim! Solrain pilots>Your starting craft, The Premia cannot mount a Broker Mining Laser due to size. You'll have to get the more expensive and higher tech level Banker Laser or wait til you get a better ship.
