Wed 11 December 2003 Sold 700 @04.28 pm. profit £194.77  The above screen print shows the selling deal at 4.28 pm. I first bought UU shares in August, 400 @ 475.89p, but the price fell. So I bought a further 300 @ 456.95p. The price slowly crept up, and hovered around the 490p price prior to 11 Dec. On the morning of 11 Dec it was announced that the company would be allowed to increase its prices by about 4% more than inflation in the coming couple of years, so I was expecting the share price to rise today. Accordingly I upped my selling price slightly to 505p. It reached 500p by 4pm, and then suddenly at 4.26pm the price jumped for a couple of minutes, and at 4.28pm reached 505.5p, so Barclays Stockbrokers managed to obtain a price of 505.65p, which would appear to be the best selling price of the day!. I had a profit of £194.77 to add to the rest, giving an overall profit on those sold since March 03 of £1252.48. |
