Fri 11 July 2003 I have been carefully watching mmo2 since late March, when it was below 50p, but it began to move upwards too swiftly for me to get in! It topped 60p, before falling back. Today followed three days of falls, a sign I am beginning to recognise as meabning that rises are likely on the fourth day. So I put the order in to buy at 53.5p, and idealing, in its quick scan of the market 3.34 pm bought 3500 at 53.2p As it was so near the close of business, the shares did not have chance to rise sufficiently, but they dig begin to move up. I hope to sell around 57p, when the profit will be �100. Mon 14 July 03 update oo2 closed at bid price 55p, giving a profit so far of �29.69 after one day. It was lucky in that there was so much positive corporate news from the US which pushed up the DJ in the afternoon in London. How long will it take to reach my target sell price of 57p?  Mon 21 Jul 03 This is what happens if you are too greedy. As I have said, I set to sell at 57p for a tidy short term profit of �100. Yesterday, I could have taken a profit of �73 for a short while. But I held on, and by the end of the day was making a loss. The company declared good news on subscriber numbers today, and as often happens at times like that, profit taking ensued on the expectation pof that yesterday, and there were some massive sales. They were reversed this morning, however, but that did not stop the price falling a little more. So at the moment I am on a slight loss. A lesson to be learned here I think!  My patience is eventually rewarded! After moving up and down during the past couple of months, this share eventually received enough positive comment abd upgrades to move to my target. Although I was set to sell at 58p, then 58.5 p, I could see from the bias towards buying that there was potential for the price to go slightly higher. So on 9 Sep I set a price of 59P at idealing, and at around 9.31 am this was reached. So the 3500 shares were sold at 59.08p, for a profit of �172.49, taking the overall profit to �951.23.
