No Justice No Peace started out as just a very poorly drawn circle. Then I drew some lines in the circle and all of a sudden I realised that I was writing a peace sign, or at least it could become a peace sign with some changes and a living imagination. So I did some changes and voila a political comment was born. The message behind this picture is that pacifism doesn't work and as long as there is no justice in the world there also can be no peace. Those who have the power will not give up that power without a fight. No socialist revolution has ever been non-violent, even peaceful attempts to change society in a socialist direction has been met with violence, either from the military, the fascists or other countries. In Afghanistan the best way to stop the US army fom killing more people and make Afghanistan easier for US capitalism to exploit is to defeat the US army by using violence against them. Even in Vietnam it wasn't just the peace movement in the west that made the US troops leave Vietnam, it was also the fact that FNL was fighting back and giving the US army a very hard time. It is also worth remembering that it wasn't until americans started to get killed in Vietnam that people in the USA really started to react against the war. If FNL hadn't defended themselves there might never have been the big anti-war movement in the US or even in the rest of the world. That is one of many reasons why the Afghans should defend themselves and kill as many US/UK soldiers as possible. Another reason is that if the US army is victorious in Afghanistan it will mean a defeat not only for Aghanistan but all oppressed and exploited people and countries in the world. If the US is successfull in Afghanistan then any country or people who tries to be independent and tries to have a political system that US-imperialism doesn't like will run an even greater risk than before of being invaded by the US army. If on the other hand the US army is defeated in Afghanistan that will send a message to oppressed people all over the world that it is not only worth your while to fight against imperialism but also possible to defeat it.
