CHRIST RETURNS-REVELATION 19
THE FOLLOWING TWO CHAPTERS MARK THE END OF THE TRIBULATION. FIRST WE SEE THE RESPONSE OF GOD`S PEOPLE IN HEAVEN, REGARDING THE JUDGMENT OF HARLOT:
Rev 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
Rev 19:2 For true and righteous [are] his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
Rev 19:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
Rev 19:4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
Rev 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

"HER SMOKE ROSE UP FOR EVER AND EVER" SHOWS THE PERMANENCE OF THE HARLOT SYSTEM`S DESTRUCTION. THE FIRE WILL BURN ON HER FOREVER AS A TESTIMONY OF HER WICKEDNESS. HER DEEDS SHALL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED.
THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB
Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
THE REDEEMED IN CHRIST PRAISE THE ALL POWERFUL GOD WHO RULES HIS UNIVERSE.
Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
JESUS CHRIST`S WIFE IS THE CHURCH AND THE ETERNAL UNION OR MARRIAGE OF THE TWO OCCURS AT THE RAPTURE.
Rev 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
THIS VERSE PROCLAIMS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE CHURCH WHICH HAS BEEN JUDGED AND PURIFIED AT THE "JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST":
2Cr 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad.
Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
"THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB" IS THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM OF CHRIST ON EARTH FOLLOWING HIS SECOND COMING. A JEWISH MARRIAGE CONSISTS OF THREE BASIC ELEMENTS: 1.THE BETROTHAL. IN REGARDS TO THE CHURCH THIS OCCURS ON EARTH DURING THE CHURCH AGE. ONCE YOU ARE BORN AGAIN YOU ARE CHRIST`S BRIDE TO BE. 2. THE PRESENTATION. THIS OCCURS FOR US IN HEAVEN FOLLOWING THE RAPTURE. 3. THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OR IN HEBREW, THE FEAST. THIS WILL TAKE PLACE ON EARTH FOLLOWING CHRIST`S RETURN. THOSE "CALLED", ARE GUEST AT THE SUPPER, ISRAEL AND THOSE WHO COME TO FAITH IN CHRIST DURING THE TRIBULATION. THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO WILL BE CHRIST`S ACTUAL BRIDE.
Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
THE ANGEL REMINDS JOHN HERE THAT ONLY GOD IS TO BE WORSHIPPED. THE "SPIRIT OF PROPHECY" IS CHRIST, THE ONLY TRUE SPIRIT OF CONTENT OF PROPHECY IS JESUS CHRIST AND THE GOSPEL.
JESUS CHRIST RETURNS TO EARTH
Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
JESUS CHRIST RETURNS TO EARTH RIDING A WHITE HORSE. HE IS THE TRUE MESSIAH. THE ANTICHRIST APPEARS IN REVELATION 6 RIDING A WHITE HORSE, HE WAS THE FALSE MESSIAH. THE TWO HORSES ARE NOT THE SAME. CHRIST IS "FAITHFUL AND TRUE" IN THAT HE HAS KEPT IS WORD AND PROMISE TO RETURN IN GREAT GLORY. HIS JUDGMENT OF THE WICKED IS RIGHTEOUS. IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE HORSE SPOKEN OF HERE IS FIGURATIVE, SYMBOLIC OF CHRIST`S POWER AND GLORY.
Rev 19:12 His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
THE "CROWNS" UPON CHRIST`S HEAD INDICATE HIS AUTHORITY. HIS SECRET "NAME" SHOW THE HIS MYSTERY AND GREATNESS.
Rev 19:13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
THE "BLOOD" IS FIGURTIVE OF CHRIST`S JUDGMENT OF SATAN AND THE PEOPLE WHO ARE GOD`S ENEMIES. "WORD OF GOD" PRESENTS JESUS CHRIST AS GOD HIMSELF. THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD DEMANDS JUDGMENT OF SIN. THIS IS THE TRUE JUSTICE OF GOD.
Rev 19:14 And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
THIS ARMY OF GOD IS MOST LIKELY ANGELS AND THE RAPTURED CHURCH. GOD`S ELECT WILL SHARE IN HIS VICTORY! "FINE LINEN, WHITE AND CLEAN" DEPICTS THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
WHEN CHRIST "SMITE(S) THE NATIONS", HE WILL DESTOY ALL THE UNBELIEVERS AND WILL RULE THE EARTH WITH A "ROD OF IRON" THE "WINEPRESS" DEPICTS THE VIOLENCE AND INTENSITY OF GOD`S JUDGMENT OF THE UNBELIEVERS.
Rev 19:16 And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
"KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS" SHOW US THAT HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS, THE SOVEREIGN RULER OF THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING THEREIN.
THE SUPPER OF THE GREAT GOD
Rev 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
THIS SUPPER IS NOT THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB.
Rev 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all [men, both] free and bond, both small and great.
GOD NOW CALLS THE BIRDS IN THE SKY TO DEVOUR THE "FLESH" OF THE UNBELIEVERS WHO DIED AT ARMAGEDDON. NOT ALL THOSE LEFT ON EARTH ARE UNBELIEVERS. THIS IS WHEN GOD WILL SEPERATE THE SHEEP AND THE GOATS EXPLAINED BY JESUS IN MATTHEW 25:31-46. THE BELIEVERS ALIVE ON THE EARTH FOLLOWING ARMAGEDDON, THE SHEEP, WILL BE THE ONES WHO WILL REPOPULATE THE EARTH DURING THE MILLENNIUM. THOSE WHO ARE IN HEAVENLY BODIES WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REPRODUCE.
Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
THE ARMIES OF THE BEAST (ANTICHRIST) AND THE ARMIES OF THE KINGS OF THE EAST AND THE REST OF THE UNBELIVERS ON EARTH WILL GATHER AT ARMAGEDDON TO TRY TO PREVENT THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST. SATAN HAS DECEIVED THEM INTO THINKING IT IS POSSIBLE!
Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
THE BEAST AND THE FALSE PROPHET ARE DEFEATED AND ARE THE FIRST TO BE THROWN INTO "THE LAKE OF FIRE" WHERE THEY WILL REMAIN FOREVER.
Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
THE UNBELIEVERS STILL ALIVE AT THIS TIME WILL BE ROUNDED UP, JUDGED AND KILLED BY THE WORD, "THE SWORD" OF JESUS CHRIST. THEY WILL THEN BE DEVOURED BY THE BIRDS WITH THE REST OF THE UNBELIEVING DEAD, AND ARE ALSO DESTINED FOR THE "LAKE OF FIRE." Bro Joe
SATAN BOUND FOR 1000 YEARS - REVELATION 20
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
THE "BOTTOMLESS PIT" IS THE ABYSS, WHERE EVIL SPIRITS DWELL. THIS IS THE PLACE WHERE "LEGION" IN LUKE 8:31, ASKED JESUS NOT TO SEND HIM. THE "KEY" SHOWS GOD`S AUTHORITY OVER THIS PLACE AND THE "CHAIN" WILL BE USED TO BIND AND IMPRISON SATAN.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
GOD`S ANGEL CAPTURES SATAN AND SATAN IS "BOUND" IN THE ABYSS FOR 1OOO YEARS. THE ABYSS IS NOT THE LAKE OF FIRE.
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
SATAN IS THROWN INTO "THE BOTTOMLESS PIT" OR THE ABYSS, AND THE "SEAL" IS THE GUARANTEE FROM GOD THAT HE WILL STAY THERE FOR THE 1000 YEARS. SATAN WILL NOT BE ABLE TO "DECEIVE THE NATIONS" OF PEOPLE DURING THIS TIME, HOWEVER, THOSE PEOPLE BORN DURING THE MILLENNIUM WILL STILL HAVE FREE WILL AND OPPOSE GOD. THIS WILL COME FROM THEIR OWN HEARTS AND WILL NOT COME FROM SATAN`S PROMTING. SATAN WILL BE SET FREE FROM THE PIT FOR A SHORT TIME AT THE END OF THE 1000 YEARS, BUT HIS FINAL DESTINATION WILL NOT BE BACK TO THE PIT, BUT THE LAKE OF FIRE.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
THIS VERSE SHOWS THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM BEING SET UP. THE "THRONE" ARE THE PEOPLE WHO WILL RULE AND REIGN WITH CHRIST DURING THIS TIME. THEY WILL BE, 1.THE OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS, 2. THE APOSTLES AND THE CHURCH, AND 3.THE TRIBULATION SAINTS. THE TRIBULATION SAINTS OR MARTYRS ARE IN VIEW IN THE ABOVE VERSE. EVERYONE WHO ENTERS THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM AT THE BEGINNING WILL BE BELIEVERS AND ONLY THOSE IN PHYSICAL BODIES WILL REPRODUCE. THESE ARE THE SUBJECTS OF THE KINGDOM. THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM WILL BE A TIME OF PEACE, RIGHTEOUSNESS AND LOVE. CHRIST WILL RULE WITH NO OPPOSITION. AT THE END OF THE 1000 YEARS CHRIST WILL TURN THE RULE OF THE UNIVERSE OVER TO HIS FATHER.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection.
THE FIRST HALF OF THIS VERSE LOOKS FORWARD TO AFTER VERSE 11 AND THE GREAT WHITE THRONE OF JUDGMENT WHERE THE UNBELIEVERS WILL BE JUDGED.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
THE SECOND HALF OF VERSE 5 AND VERSE 6 EXPLAIN THE FIRST RESURRECTION WHICH OCCURED IN PART IN VERSE 4. THE FIRST RESURRECTION IS 3 FOLD, 1. THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST, 2.THE RESURRECTION OF THE CHURCH AT THE RAPTURE, AND 3. THE RESURRECTION OF THE OLD TESTAMENT AND TRIBULATION SAINTS. THE FIRST RESURRECTION IS THE RESURRECTION OF ETERNAL LIFE, THE SECOND VIEWED IN VERSES 12 AND 13 IS THE RESSURECTION OF ETERNAL PUNISHMENT IN THE LAKE OF FIRE.
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom [is] as the sand of the sea.
AFTER 1000 YEARS ARE PAST, SATAN WILL BE LOOSED FROM HIS PRISON IN THE BOTTOMLESS PIT AND WILL MAKE ONE LAST EFFORT TO DEFEAT CHRIST. HE WILL "DECEIVE THE NATIONS" OF PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT BELIEVERS FROM THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM, TO REBEL AGAINST GOD. FOR "GOG AND MAGOG", SEE EZEKIEL 38. THERE WILL BE MANY UNBELIEVERS IN THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM!
Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
THE "BELOVED CITY" IS THE EARTHLY JERUSALEM HEADQUARTERS OF CHRIST`S MILLENNIAL KINGDOM. THE REBELS WILL BE DEFEATED SWIFTLY BY GOD BY FIRE!
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
SATAN IS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE, WHERE HE WILL BE TORMENTED ETERNALLY WITH THE ANTICHIST AND THE FALSE PROPHET. THEY WILL SOON HAVE A LOT OF COMPANY!
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
THIS IS THE GREAT WHITE THRONE OF JUDGMENT. "WHITE" OR SHINING DEPICTS GOD`S GLORY, PURITY AND HOLINESS. IT IS UNCLEAR WHERE THIS THRONE IS LOCATED SINCE HEAVEN AND EARTH HAVE BEEN DESOLVED. THIS COULD BE RIGHT BEFORE THE NEW HEAVEN AND EARTH ARE CREATED.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
THE "DEAD" ARE THE UNBELIEVERS FROM ALL OF HISTORY. THEY ARE NOW TO BE JUDGED BY JESUS CHRIST. THEY ARE JUDGED FROM TWO BOOKS. THE FIRST BOOK IS A RECORD OF EVERY UNBELIEVER`S DEEDS AND WORKS. THE NAMES IN THIS BOOK ARE CLEARLY SINNERS. THE NAMES IN THE SECOND BOOK ARE THOSE WHO HAVE ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS THEIR SAVIOR THROGH FAITH ALONE. THIS IS THE BOOK OF LIFE. THE UNSAVED ARE SHOWN THE BOOK OF LIFE TO SHOW THEM THAT THEY REJECTED THEIR CHANCE TO BE WRITTEN IN IT.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
"DEATH" IS A HOLDING PLACE FOR PEOPLES BODIES, "HELL" IS THE HOLDING PLACE FOR THEIR SOULS. THE UNSAVED WILL HAVE THEIR BODIES AND SOULS JOINED TOGETHER FOR JUDGMENT.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
"THE SECOND DEATH" IS ETERNAL PUNISHMENT IN THE LAKE OF FIRE. THIS IS THE FINAL DESTINATION FOR ALL THOSE WHO REJECT GOD`S FREE GIFT OF SALVATION, THROUGH FAITH ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
ARE YOU HEADING FOR THE "LAKE OF FIRE'? THERE`S NO REASON TO GO THERE YOU KNOW. JESUS CHRIST WANT`S TO SAVE ALL. NOTHING YOU CAN DO WILL SAVE YOU. DON`T LET ANYONE TELL YOU ANY THING DIFFERENT. Bro Joe

THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH - REVELATION 21 - 22
REVELATION 21
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
THIS IS A DESCRIPTION OF WHAT WE CALL ETERNITY. THIS WILL OCCUR AFTER THE MILLENIUM AND THE FINAL JUDGMENT. IT IS A FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECIES FROM ISAIAH:
Isa 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind
Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
THIS PRESENT EARTH WILL BE CLEANSED FROM ALL EFFECTS OF SIN:
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness
SINCE THERE WILL BE "NO MORE SEA", THE NEW EARTH WILL BE CAPABLE OF SUPPORTING GOD`S CHILDREN FROM ALL THE AGES SINCE CREATION.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
THIS IS A DIVINE CITY, COMPLETELY FREE FROM SIN DESCRIBED LATER. (21:10-22:5) "PREPARED" IS THE SAME WORD IN GREEK, USED IN JOHN:
Jhn 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.
THE PRESENCE OF GOD WILL NOW BE WITH HIS PEOPLE FROM THIS TIME AND FOREVER. GOD CAN FINALLY FELLOWSHIP WITH MAN, WHICH HE HASN`T BEEN ABLE TO DO SINCE ADAM AND EVE BECAUSE OF MAN`S SIN. HIS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN REDEEMED. THIS HAS BEEN GOD`S PROGRAM SINCE THE BEGINNING.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
THIS IS A FULFILLMENT OF A PROPHECY IN ISAIAH:
Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken [it].
ALL THE TROUBLES OF OUR EARTHLY LIFE ARE GONE, NEVER TO BE REMEMBERED AGAIN!
Isa 65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.(cf.Isa. 35:10, 51:11)
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
GOD HAS DONE EXACTLY WHAT HE HAS REVEALED IN THE BIBLE. HE IS TRUE AND FAITHFUL! COUNT ON HIM!
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
"IT IS DONE", GOD`S PROGRAM TO GATHER A SPECIAL, HOLY PEOPLE UNTO HIMSELF HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED. "ALPHA" IS THE FIRST LETTER IN THE GREEK ALPHABET, "OMEGA" IS THE LAST LETTER. THIS REFERS TO GOD`S ETERNALITY AND SOVEREIGNITY. SEE ALSO REVELATION 1:8 AND 22:13. GOD IS THE "BEGINNING" OF ALL THINGS, HE HAS CREATED EVERYTHING. HE IS ALSO THE "END" OF ALL THINGS. EVRYTHING HE WILLS TO BE, SHALL. "THE WATER OF LIFE", GOD WILL SUSTAIN AND CARE FOR ALL HIS PEOPLE FOR ERTERNITY.
Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
THOSE WHO HAVE FOLLOWED CHRIST AND HAVE DONE ALL THAT GOD HAS COMMANDED WILL BE AS A SON TO GOD!
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
THE UNSAVED BELIEVED NOT THE TRUTH AND HAVE SEALED THEIR DESTINY. "THE SECOND DEATH", IS ETERNAL PUNISHMENT IN THE LAKE OF FIRE.
THE NEW JERUSALEM
THE NEXT 13 VERSE DESCRIBE THE AWESOME GLORY AND UTTER BEAUTY OF THE HOLY CITY OF NEW JERUSALEM.
Rev 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
NEW JERUSALEM IS DEPICTED AS CHRIST`S BRIDE, POSSIBLY BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WHO WILL LIVE THERE WILL BE CHRIST`S CHURCH.
Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
THIS CITY WILL BE BREATHTAKING. WHEN JESUS SAID HE WAS GOING TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR HIS OWN IN JOHN 14, THIS WAS THE PLACE THAT HE WAS REFERRING TO.
Rev 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light [was] like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
"HAVING THE GLORY OF GOD", COMPARE THIS TO THESE TWO OLD TESTAMENT VERSES:
Eze 43:2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice [was] like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Rev 21:12 And had a wall great and high, [and] had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
THE "WALL" SHOWS SECURITY. THE "GATES" SHOW THE INHABITANTS WILL COME AND GO AS THEY WISH. THE NAMES OF THE 12 TRIBES OF ISRAEL PRESENT MEANS THOSE ISRAELITES WHO ARE SAVED WILL LIVE THERE WITH THE CHURCH.
Rev 21:13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
THIS CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THE CITY WILL BE SQUARE SHAPED.
Rev 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
IN MATTHEW 16:18, JESUS TOLD PETER THAT THE APOSTLES WERE TO BE COMMISSIONED TO START AND TEACH CHRIST`S CHURCH ON EARTH IN HIS ABSENCE. THIS BEGAN AT PENTACOST WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS SENT TO INHABIT THE TRUE FOLLOWERS OF THE GOSPEL.
Rev 21:15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
Rev 21:16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
Rev 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred [and] forty [and] four cubits, [according to] the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
THIS ALL TRNSLATES TO 1,500 MILES CUBED! NEW JERUSALEM WILL BE BREATHTAKING TO SAY THE LEAST! LOOK JESUS SAID IN JOHN 14:
Jhn 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Jhn 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
THERE WILL CLEARLY BE ROOM FOR MANY MANSIONS!
Rev 21:18 And the building of the wall of it was [of] jasper: and the city [was] pure gold, like unto clear glass.
Rev 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city [were] garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation [was] jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
"JASPER" IS GREEN, "SAPPHIRE" IS BLUE, "CHALCEDONY" IS GREEN, "EMERALD" IS ALSO GREEN.
Rev 21:20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
"SARDONYX" IS READ AND WHITE, "SARDIS" IS BLOOD RED, "CHRYSOLITE" IS YELLOWISH GOLD, "BERYL" IS GREEN, "TOPAZ" IS GREENISH OR YELLOWISH GOLD, "CHRYSOPRASUS" IS GREEN, "JACINTH" IS BLUISH PURPLE AND "AMETHYST" IS PURPLE QUARTZ.
Rev 21:21 And the twelve gates [were] twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city [was] pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
WITH ONLY ONE PURE GLOWING GOLD STREET, THIS CITY IS GOING TO ABSOLUTLY MAGNIFICENT!
Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
SINCE GOD AND JESUS WILL BE THERE AMONG THE PEOPLE, A TEMPLE TO WORSHIP THE LORD IS NO LONGER NEEDED.
Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof.
THE LIGHT IN THE CITY WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE SHEKINAH "GLORY OF GOD" (SEEN IN EXODUS), AND CHRIST, THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
Rev 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
THE LIGHT FROM THE GLORY OF GOD IN NEW JERUSALEM, WILL LIGHT THE WORLD. IT SEEMS THAT NEW JERUSALEM WILL BE SUSPENDED OVER THE NEW EARTH. THE INHABITANTS OF THE NEW EARTH WILL HONOR THIS HEAVENLY CITY.
Rev 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
THERE IS NO MORE SIN SO THE NEED TO SHUT THE GATES OF THE CITY IS GONE. IT WILL BE DAYLIGHT FORVER! THE GLORIFIED INHABITANTS WILL HAVE NO NEED FOR SLEEP!
Rev 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
ONLY REDEEMED, GLORIFIED PEOPLE WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THE CITY. THERE WILL BE NO SIN IN GOD`S PRESENCE. THIS I WOULD THINK THIS IS A REMINDER TO US, NOW, THAT WE MUST BE REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB, OR THIS GLORIOUS PLACE WILL NOT BE OUR HOME.
REVELATION 22
Rev 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
NEW JERUSALEM WILL PROVIDE ALL WHO DWELL THERE AN ABUNDANT LIFE FILLED WITH CONTINUOUS BLESSING. THE ONE "RIVER" WILL CONTAIN THE "WATER OF LIFE", WHICH WILL FLOW FROM GOD`S "THRONE:
Zec 14:8 And it shall be in that day, [that] living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
THE WATER OF LIFE WILL FLOW FOREVER!
Psa 46:4 [There is] a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy [place] of the tabernacles of the most High.
Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.
"THE TREE OF LIFE" IS THAT SAME TREE OF LIFE FROM GENESIS:
Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
THIS "TREE" PICTURES IMMORTALITY AND THAT GOD WILL SUSTAIN US FOREVER. THE "FRUIT" ALSO IS A PICTURE OF ETERNAL SUSTENANCE. "HEALING OF NATIONS" COULD MEAN ETERNAL BLESSING FROM GOD FOREVER.
Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
GOD`S SAINTS WILL "SERVE HIM" FOREVER AND WE SHALL ALWAYS HAVE DIRECT ACCESS TO GOD BECAUSE THE CURSE UPON MAN FROM THE TIME OF ADAM HAS BEEN LIFTED.
Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads.
NOT ONLY WILL WE ALWAYS HAVE ACCESS TO GOD, HE WILL MARK US, A SIGN OF OWNERSHIP AND PROTECTION.
Rev 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
THIS IS THE SAME LIGHT SPOKEN OF IN CHAPTER 21, VERSE 23. LET`S ALSO LOOK AT THIS VERSE FROM HEBREWS:
Hbr 1:3 Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS COMING QUICKLY!
Rev 22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings [are] faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
WE HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION AND OF THE REVEALED TRUTHS OF GOD IN THE BIBLE. THE AUTHOR, JOHN IS ASSURED THAT EVERYTHING REVEALED TO HIM IN THIS BOOK, BY AN ANGEL SENT BY GOD IS TRUE AND WILL SHORTLY COME TO PASS.
Rev 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed [is] he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
IN THIS VERSE, JESUS IS SPEAKING. HE TELLS THE READER THAT THE RAPTURE OF HIS CHURCH IS CLOSE AT HAND. THOSE WHO OBEY WHAT IS COMMANDED IN THIS BOOK, SHALL BE BLESSED.
Rev 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard [them]. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
Rev 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
HERE JOHN CERTIFIES THE AUTHENTICITY OF WHAT HE HAS WRITTEN. JOHN GOOFS BY FALLING AT THE ANGELS FEET TO WORSHIP AND IS REMINDED THAT ONLY GOD IS TO BE WORSHIPPED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME JOHN DOES THIS, THE FIRST WAS IN 19:10.
Rev 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
THE BOOK OF REVELATION IS MEANT TO BE READ AND UNDERSTOOD. SOME PEOPLE THINK REVELATION IS TOO DIFFICULT OR TOO FAR IN THE FUTURE TO CARE ABOUT AND UNDERSTAND. THIS IS NOT TRUE! THE BOOK OF REVELATION AND DANIEL REVEAL BOTH THE WORLD DARKEST DAYS AND OUR GLORIOUS DAYS. NOTICE WHAT DANIEL IS TOLD:
Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, [even] to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
LOOK AT THE WORLD AROUND US, DANIEL`S REVELATION IS TO BE UNSEALED NOW! THE CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN MET!
Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
THIS CAN BE UNDERSTOOD AS SUCH: YOU HAVE FREE WILL, AND YOU ALONE WILL DETERMINE FOR YOURSELF WHAT THIS BOOK WILL MEAN FOR YOU! WILL YOU BE RAPTURED? WILL YOU GO THROGH THE TRIBULATION? YOU HAVE AN ETERNAL CHOICE TO MAKE WITH THE INFORMATION THAT THE LORD HAS PROVIDED.
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
THESE TWO VERSES ARE THE WORDS OF OUR LORD JESUS AGAIN. AGAIN HE TELLS THE READER THAT THE TIME OF HIS COMING IS NEAR! WORKS CAN NOT SAVE A PERSON BUT REWARDS WILL AWAIT THOSE WHO DO THE LORDS WORK!
Rev 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Rev 22:15 For without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
THIS PRETTY MUCH SUMS UP THE STATE OF EVERY PERSON ON EARTH. YOU ARE EITHER DESCRIBED IN VERSE 14 OR VERSE 15!
Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star.
IN THIS VERSE, JESUS NOW AUTHENTICATES THE REVELATION HIS ANGEL HAS REVEALED TO JOHN. HE HAS FULILLED ALL PROPHECIES AND IS SHOWN WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT HE IS THE MESSIAH. THE RECORD HERE IS TRUE! "BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR", JESUS WILL SHORTLY BRING HIS NEW KINGDOM TO EARTH:
2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
THIS VERSE CONTAINS 4 INVITATIONS TO THE UNSAVED TO COME TO CHRIST AND IF THEY DO ETERNAL LIFE IS ASSURED SYMBOLIZED BY "THE WATER OF LIFE". IT WILL BE GIVEN "FREELY" TO THOSE WHO COME THE FAITH IN CHRIST.
Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
THESE TWO VERSES ARE PROBABLY CONTAIN ONE OF THE STRONGEST WARNING TO MAN FROM CHRIST. ANYONE WHO CHANGES ANYTHING WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK IN ORDER TO DECEIVE OTHERS OR ANY WHO DISTORT THE MESSAGE IN THIS BOOK, WILL INCUR THE WRATH WRITTEN HERE, AND NOT RECEIVE THE BLESSINGS HEREIN.
Rev 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
THIS IS THE FINAL PROMISE TO MAN, FROM CHRIST IN THE BIBLE. THE LORDS RETURN IS IMMINENT. "AMEN", MEANS SO BE IT. THE SECOND PART OF THE VERSE IS A RESPONSE FROM HIS PEOPLE, "COME, LORD JESUS". THIS IN ARAMAIC MEANS MARANATHA, FOUND ELSEWHERE IN SCRIPTURE JUST ONCE:
1Cr 16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
Rev 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.
REVELATION AND THE BIBLE CLOSES WITH A BENEDICTION OF "GRACE". GOD HAS REVEALED BOTH WONDERFUL THINGS TO THOSE WHO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST THROUGH FAITH ONLY.
