Now that you have read each individuals writing, you may have a very good idea of who you think is better. However, four stories, or poems does not make the author. The keys to a succesful career are longevity and consistency. Your next task will be to research the life, literary style, and professional careers of both men. You may begin by using the attached links to get started, but you will need more information from other websites to gather more information. The more information you are able to obtain on these men, the better your analysis will be. If you do pick Walt Whitman, you may use the information that you gathered for Task 1, but you will have to go deeper into his life, so you will need to do further research. When you are finished with your research, you will write a minimum 3 page essay on who you chose, and why you chose him. You may want to include pictures, timelines, best works, etc., to support your reasoning. You have two weeks to complete this assignment, and you may now begin your research.
