WEBQUEST I:
Soon, you will be entering life in the 15th century, and I am sure that you will want to be well prepared for wherever you may find yourself.  Whether you believe "life imitates art," or that"art imitates life," Shakespeare's writing style reflected the art of the times. In Romeo and Juliet, we notice this early on in Act I, Scene IV, (see below), when Romeo and his counterparts are preparing for the Capulet's gala event.  Often times, the masks that partygoers wore, symbollized something about that persons character, (I.E nationality, personality, etc).  For this assignment, I would like you to begin by clicking on the pictures to familiarize yourself with the dresscodes for these events.  If you would like to do further research via the internet, please feel free.  Then, I would like you to create a mask that will represent your personality, that   you will be wearing for our very own, modern day masquerade ball!!!  Finally, I would like you to write a short essay (1-2 pages) describing the mask that you  chose, and why you chose it.
