2 lbs pea beans- soak over night in H2O in am      boil   for 10 min with 1 tsp baking soda drain and rinse with
cold H2O
1 lb salt pork-rinse off salt-cut in large cubes
1 med onion-whole skin off
put 1/2 the salt pork and onion in the bottom of a 2            qt.bean pot -add beans put rest of pork on top.
10 tbsp brown sugar-)      mix these  
1 tsp vinegar-)                 ingredients
2 tsp dry mustard-)        together with
1/2 tsp pepper-)              some hot H2O
 
2 tbsp ketchup--)          pour over beans
cover put in 300-degree oven,for 6 hours- you'l need
to add H2O as necessary to keep the  beans moist
.
2/3 cup molasses-)add this about 4 hours into the          cooking.
filling   1/2 tsp vanilla)                               put  1/2 the crust
               1/2 cup sugar )         cook              on a 12" sheet
               1/2 lb pitted dates)  until              pan top with the
               3/4 cup water)         thick             filling top with
                                                                       the other half

crust   1 cup brown sugar                       of crust
               1& 3/4 rolled oats                         bake @365 till
               1&1/2 cup flour                            golden
               3/4 cup shortening
               1 tsp baking powder
               1/2 tsp salt

                               
12 quohog steamed open save the juice
  chop up or grind the meat not to fine
  sautee 1 large onion ( chopped )with a 3"   piece of  salt pork( cut in pieces).
  cook 3-4 potatoes not to soft(cubed)
  toss out the salt pork or not)combine         the other ingrediants.add the reserved       stock  some milk  or cream
  salt and pepper to taste a little piece of       butter  and heat up.
CREAM-1 lb cream cheese
             1/3 lb blue or roquefort
             1/3 lb butter
GRIND FINELY-1 sm green pepper
                      2 red pimentoes
                      12 green stufed chillies
add 2 tsp paprika and some salt mix    all form into a ball
put in a waxed paper line bowl             refrigerate
over night /frost with cream cheese.
3/4 cup shortening
1 egg
2-1/4 cup flour
2 tsp soda
1 tsp ea.ginger cinnomon cloves
1  cup sugar
5 tbsp molasses
1 tsp salt
CREAM-shortening sugar-ADD egg       and molasses-SIFT dry ingredents-        ADD -MIX
ROLL into walnut size balls ROLL in
sugar BAKE @350 for 12-15 min.
