**This quest can only be done by Druids, Wizards, and Necromancers - of the 50th level and above. There are four towers in the Envar complex. Atop each tower spawns a Grave Usher. At the bottom of each tower is a respective rare spawn. Speak to two unnamed cons: one at the bottom of the Northeast Tower; and the other at the bottom of the Southwest tower. You will then be asked to collect 8 items - 4 Brooches, 2 Essences, and 2 Breaths. Note that the order which you turn these items in does not matter. Collecting the Brooches is the easiest part of the quest. They drop off the Servant of Tal'thir and the Servant of Vorin in the NW and SE basements respectively; brooches also drop off the four Grave Ushers at the top of each of Envar's towers. Each Grave Usher is guarded by 2 Servants. In addition to their abnormally high quad damage, they have an AR lifetap, so definitely max that resist. Two people, irrespective of their classes, can easily kill. On a side note, if you happen to have a Spellbinder in group, have them charm a nearby enemy. Doing so will allow them to pull the Grave Usher from outside, at the base of the Tower, instead of having to ascend the ramps to the very top. Brooches * Iron Brooch * Copper Brooch * Brass Brooch * Bronze Brooch ---- Next, you’ll need to collect the two Essences. They drop off the Jal’Raeth Bishop and Tal’thir. The Jal’raeth Bishop is located in the Northeast Library - he’s very easy to get to, but is annoying to kill. Be sure to have at least 3 petters and a resists cleric there, and you should be just fine. Also, you may want to pull him with a low-level pet, due to the harsh DT. As if that wasn’t sufficiently annoying, Tal’thir is much more! He is located in the Northwest tower, and is guarded heavily by several nasty mobs. Two in particular are: Accursed Zombie – 1000pt to 1500pt DoT Accursed Maggot – 1000pt AoE Root (Note that all of these status abnormalities can be cured by a level 50 dropped spell called Envaric Salve {Druid, Shaman, Cleric, Necromancer, Alchemist}, which can drop off anything in the 4 Envar tower basements. Rumor has it that Envaric Salves only drop twice every 24 hours. I got lucky on a past Envar run - dropped off a Maggot.) Essences * Ethereal Essence - Drops off the Jal'raeth Bishop * Astral Essence - Drops off Tal'thir ---- Next are the Breaths. You will need to find High Priest Vorin and the Jal’Raeth Patriarch. Vorin is located in the basement of the Southeast tower. Be warned: the Anointed Skeletons in the tower have, and frequently use, a mana tap. The Anointed Mummies, however, have a very effective AoE strength debuff - you are left with 1. ... Yup, 1 point. Tomb serpents have a very potent poison which tends to kill pets very quickly. In engaging Vorin, be sure to kill his construct first! Otherwise, the Construct of Vorin will heal its master several times during the battle and, depending on your raid force, you will be unable to defeat them. Even when the Construct is no more, Vorin is still healed occasionally, but considerably less! The Jal'raeth Patriarch requires the same strategy as did the Jal'raeth Bishop, though the Patriarch is slightly weaker. He is located in the Southwest Library, and is easily accessed. Again, for the most efficient kill, have at least 3 petters in group. Breaths * Astral Breath - Drops off High Priest Vorin * Ethereal Breath - Drops off the Jal'raeth Patriarch ---- After getting all the items you need, talk to the same unnamed cons from which you received the quest. Doing so will fuse the four brooches into a diamond, and the four ethereal/breaths into another diamond. In addition to those two items, you should now have a single-charged necklace in your inventory. You can only use the necklace if you also happen to possess the two diamonds. Once you use the charge, the diamonds and the necklace are consumed and are replaced by a single-charged stone/rune. Using that rune will kill you immediately, but after doing so, the Envaric Ascention spell will replace it in your inventory. Envaric Ascention, LORE Druid, Necromancer, Wizard Level: 50 Target: Group Effect: Ports to the first chamber of PoE's tower. Recast: 3600 (One Hour) ---- Now, in order to actually get to PoE, you will have to complete a mini-quest of sorts, every time. Very simple, if you happen to have a resist cleric in your group. The main tower is composed of three chambers. The first of which is where you port in. You must farm the Jal'Raeth Nobles there, for the single-charged Noble's Gem (UC, NO RENT LORE); upon using it, you are ported upward to the next chamber, where you will find Jal'Raeth Champions and Jal'Raeth Knights. This whole segment of the quest is very repetitive, as you will also need a similar Gem here as you did previously - a Champion's Gem. Even though the mobs in the previous two chambers could be easily killed by the traditional group, the third chamber requires at least two resist buffed pets. The Channelers have a high-damage, unresistable AoE nuke, which can hit up to 5000. Assuming, of course, that this happens to be a good day, an unnamed con will be above one of the altars in the Channelers' chamber. If you do not find the unnamed con, you will not be able to spawn the Prophet and, consequently, you have just wasted 30 minutes. But if it is up, you can do one of two things: 1. Spawn PoE and have a pet engage before everyone else ports up 2. Have three petters port up before PoE is spawned, so as to engage without having to wipe unnecessarily. Throughout the whole battle, PoE will Full-Heal several times, sometimes when he's only a sliver away from death. Do not be alarmed. The fewest times I have seen him regenerate completely is twice. The most is around 10. Deductively, the best strategy would obviously be to have the resist buffed pets attack while everyone else does their job, in addition to staying out of LoS - Melees, of course, using ranged weapons; Healers healing and rebuffing pets, etc; though do be careful of his AoE DoT - when inflicted, it does around 1500pts of dmg per tick. Not sure whether it can or cannot be cured with the Envaric Salve (probably can, just never had the chance to try).
