McManus om Spartak-matchen

Celtics kapten Stephen McManus förväntar sig att Spartak Moskva kommer ge allt de har mot Celtic under CL kvalet på onsdag. Men han är säker på defensiven kommer att göra sitt jobb.
Celtic som spelade en imponerande 1-1 match på bortaplan i Moskva, mycket tack var Paul Hartleys nickmål och är en bra match ifrån att nå gruppspelet för årets tävling.
McManus som sade följande till the Daily Record: "I think the back four are doing all right. We've only lost two goals in four league games with a side that's been chopped and changed. But the alterations have come about because there are so many good players at the club.
"We still need to go up a gear against Spartak. We did all right in Moscow and gave ourselves a chance to make the group stage, but they'll arrive at our place with the attitude that they can win the tie.
"That's why I think we need to make a fast start to the game and get right into them. Then we'll see how it goes. Everyone has an important job to do - it's not just down to two or three people. If we don't go up a level as a team we'll get punished, that's the way it is in the Champions League."
Mcmanus som fick kaptensbindeln efter att Neil Lennon gick till Nottingham Forest erkände att spelarna skulle ha varit nöjda med en 1-1 match innan föra bortamatchen mot Moskva. Men alla vet att de fortfarande måste spela som bäst eftersom Sparta är ett topplag.
Av kaptenen att döma verkar det som om Celtic avser att gå ut och spela offensivt från början istället för att försöka sakta ned spelet och hålla resultatet så som det är.
