| Formaldehyde | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Strange feeling to suddenly realize Nervousness has stretched its trembling boughs Across my heart He is too good to be true And too good for me And certainness - Never remaining faithful Yet his voice and words Imply a strength Is he shy or does he make me suffer? For my mind hath lingered A breadth away on his lips And the kiss that never came to be Alas though may somewhere I rejoice For he took the long way home Indeed....he took the long way home -Kelly M. Kincaid February 2001 |

| Formaldehyde, you soak your lies Preserve your hatred Blackening eyes Canned stupidity - a narrow mind A sigh in your soul Will I someday find? Hesitated fantasies Phone pressed to your ear You made your bed Now you lie in fear You have your fun Taking a good person apart But you'll know not love With hate in your heart Fragile existence we lead Permanent seeds we sow Time so short Falling in love so slow With every grain of sand In the hourglass that falls My time grows shorter Something inside me calls Formaldehyde - preserve the love Preserve the compliments received Banish the lies So stupidly believed Tell him I love him Before it's too late Lead me to the dreams Shown to me once by fate -Kelly M. Kincaid December 2000 |

| Out Of Eden | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Don't sit alone by the flame Cause thoughts are flammable Like anything else When all else has failed Don't hesitate To close your eyes And open the blinds And stand in the sunshine Stand in the spotlight Of my love Don't sit alone by the moonlight Loneliness is fatal Be mine tonight Be there tonight And save us both from the cold illusion In clever discourse you allude me Out of Eden Where do I go from here? Touch me, leave the warmth on my pillow To touch my cheek, my sleeping brow Does the morning contain my sorrow? Or is it the remnants of the night's wrath? Lay me down in the garden Kiss my lips as the dew Kisses the roses And let your love fall upon me Like rain -Kelly M. Kincaid July 1995 |

| Tides of Change | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Difference, now, the time imposes And enters, then with night, discloses Sometimes a need, not fulfilled Cannot be comforted, only willed But happy, then, in endless days Of endless love in many ways What caused my heart to be untrue A broken promise settles like dew Simple touch, beautiful kiss Sadly awakens what I missed And whispers down into the dawn Youth a flower, then withered & gone Pity baby, because I want so much more Driving desire to swim right to the shore But I'm in too deep now & sinking faster One kiss wrecked security with disaster Love is faded, sleepy haze Tiring now, the endless days With the law of springtime, my heart strays A course to choose - so many ways A road to you - too often travelled Then him - as old dreams come unravelled Security - constant as the stars Ruined by change and emotional scars? No, constant as the river flows And winds down the only path it knows Such is the road that I must choose Rescuing love as Schindler saved the Jews God, banish the tides of change away May I find contentment in the day May the only path I choose to pursue Be the one that leads to you - Kelly M. Kincaid April 1995 |
