Season's Greetings
& Yuletide Cheer

Yule is Just Around the Corner
A Time of Rebirth..The Goddess gives birth to the Divine Child. Yule is also on Winter Solstice. Which is the Shortest day of the Year (and longest night). It marks the point where the Sun is reborn as well. (The Sun symbolizing the God) In sympathetic magick we light candles welcoming the Sun's light. Its a pre-welcome to Springs Arrival in the Making. The Goddess Rests after Delivery.

Hunting for Mistletoe.
This is our Second Yule. We have a tradition of driving down the highway hunting for Mistletoe. We don't use a gun to shoot it down. we either climg the tree and cut it down. We also use a hula hoe and cut it off the oak branch. Mistletoe grows on trees. It is Highly Poisionous. (Wash your hands well when Handling Mistletoe) You might find them on Oak trees that have a lot of Moss on them.
The Tale of Mistletoe's Kiss
Balder (Scandinavian tale) the god of Peace was said to be Slain with a Arrow made of Mistletoe. (Viscum album, Phoradendron serotinum) The other Gods and Goddess's became saddened by this and asked for his life to be restored. When He regained life. the mistletoe was given to the Goddess of Love. who Decreed "Anyone to pass under the mistletoe. Will receive a kiss." (To show it is a symbol of Love) this tradition became a christmas tradition. it goes back to the druids.. who it is said welcomed the new year with branches of mistletoe.
