In Witchcraft there are two Charges, one of the God and one of the Goddess. The original Charge of the Goddess is in Italian, from Aradia: Gospel of the Witches. The Charge of the God came a bit later, I suppose when the Pagan community belatedly realized there's masculine energy in the world too.
The Charges are said to invoke the God and Goddess, and to, in essence, become God/dess. In a Coven, the High Priestess and High Priest are the ones who do it. Solitary Witches do whatever the hell they want.
I hold no claim to writing these. I am merely reposting them here for your pleasure.
