Dealing

She paces nervously
trying to keep her stomach from feeling its' hunger
trying to keep from thinking of this thing inside of her as being more
then a problem
a mistake that needs to be rectified
trying not to think of this thing as being a life she was about to dessolve
the future it would never have
the words it would never speak
the words
if it could speak, what would it say
would it understand
would it beg
"No" she says aloud
instead she thinks of
movies
school
her friends
her boyfriend
her boyfriend-he did this to her and where is he now
"No" she will not be defined by a single man, nor a single moment
that all this is
she tells herself
a moment
a moment that will one day soon be a memory
they call her name
she walks towards the door
thinking about next weeks Buffy
and despretly trying to ignore the gravity of what she was about to do
