Fluffy clouds appear above the mountains
Grey, blue and silver with faint lightening rays
No thunder is heard yet because
The storm is far away , but does not stay.
As the clouds come closer to home The thunder is faintly heard The sky, darkening now becomes A mast of grey like a wild herd
Crash! Bang! lightening streaks across the sky
Boom! thunder ripples in waves Following the path the lightening makes To the very end it repaves Splatter, pat, pat the rain pelts the roof Pouring freely down the drain spout The thunder follows the lightening "Catch me if you can" the lightening seems to shout
Pitter, patter the rain begins to slow
As the clouds continue to roll by The sky begins to lighten
The sound of thunder fades away in the sky.
