It doesn't make much sense for Jewish Writing to deal with material that has already been modified by a publisher. That publisher is now happy with the results, and our input will have no effect.
Therefore, the Jewish Writing group only works on original, unpublished, and unsubmitted material.
Furthermore, we do not handle theoretical exercises. We are all busy people, and we do not need extra chores. The material submitted to Jewish Writing should be new, real, and ready to be submitted. We will help you refine your ideas so that they are more likely to be acceptable by your publisher or your client.
This material must be yours. Don't submit anything unless you can confirm that you wrote it yourself. If somebody else writes material, they can opt to join Jewish Writing and then to submit it themselves.
If you do include material that was researched from another source or based on other primary material, you must give full and clear bibliographic credit to the source.
Of course, you must submit material that is your own and not taken from another source. A writing group should not have to raise the issue of plagiarism. That should go without saying, right?
