The name of our group, Jewish Writing, is ambiguous. It could mean "writers who are Jewish" or "writing about Jewish topics".
Let's clarify that ambiguity.
- Jewish Writing relates to documents or other materials that have clear Jewish content. That Jewish content should be acceptable to any Jew around the world who reads traditional Jewish sources.
- Jewish Writing excludes certain specific issues.
- The religious identity of the author or writer.
- Polemics or comparative religion. Polemics have non-Jewish content as well, and Jewish Writing is not the place to evaluate or discuss those items.
- Messianic materials. Messianic materials of any kind are not Jewish. Period.
- "Good quality" manuscripts of any kind that do not have sufficient Jewish content.
