Jewish Writing
Jewish Content

The name of our group, Jewish Writing, is ambiguous. It could mean "writers who are Jewish" or "writing about Jewish topics".

Let's clarify that ambiguity.

  1. Jewish Writing relates to documents or other materials that have clear Jewish content. That Jewish content should be acceptable to any Jew around the world who reads traditional Jewish sources.
  2. Jewish Writing excludes certain specific issues.
    • The religious identity of the author or writer.
    • Polemics or comparative religion. Polemics have non-Jewish content as well, and Jewish Writing is not the place to evaluate or discuss those items.
    • Messianic materials. Messianic materials of any kind are not Jewish. Period.
    • "Good quality" manuscripts of any kind that do not have sufficient Jewish content.
